I just studied some of these subjects at University. Some books be not that good, but I hold an excellent text book for Financial Accounting. I regard as it has a title of "Financial Accounting" and the authors are Needles & Powers. It is an American book. I never like accounting & always thought it be hard, but this book is so simple it make accounting very trouble-free. check it out, it's really simple and straight forward.
You're uni may not have a reading schedule, but they should still tell you what books you'll stipulation - that's what my uni did.
Don't waste your money however, cos you'll be spending hundreds soon! The annoying thing is that a great deal of the books you might single need one chapter!

What exactly do you want to buy so that we can direct you to the right people/store, etc. or better yet come down and shop to your heart contents. You can fly in on a weekend and shop corner some shows with your friends enjoy dinner and fly back. I do that next to my friends. We fly to Paris on weekends to shop and catch some shows, dine and fly put money on. There are lots of airline bargain tickets on file.
