That should be fine, although it depends on the culture of the office. A leather blazer is much more trendy and hip, so a business i.e. trying to be contemporary will be good. But a business that's adjectives conservative may think the blazer is a bit too passionate.

However, that said, have you tried to find a literary agent to relief you? They are more or less essential. If not, afterwards try to find one who is in the business of seeking publishers for books LIKE YOURS! (Not of late some generic agent, but someone specialized in the type of literature you write).
