Finance & Business Question and Answers

how is the gold ingots price determined? i call for to know practical explanation?

Question:

Answers:
The price of commodities is set by supply and demand. If the supply is set, then mostly the price will be high. People who really really want it will cough up the dosh. If supply is too great, prices generally are low.
Money is no longer back by gold. Gold, as a commodity, sell as if it were wheat, corn, red juice concentrate, or doesn`t matter what.
If you have gold ingots to sell, a precious metals supplier will buy it from you according to the most recent price set on the commodities exchange.

Other Answers:
The first answer is right, I think the dept of treasury is within charge of keeping track of it all. Ft Knox is where on earth the US portion of the gold is stored. I ruminate that's in Texas somewhere.
Ft. Knox is contained by Tennessee, but the gold is no longer in reality kept there. It's in actual fact in New York City in a minute.

The price of gold tend to go up when family are worried about inflation or geopolitical turmoil, largely because it have been meaningful for several millenia, and the expectation is that if the dollar collapses and the world goes to pot, gold ingots will eventually be valuable again. Its industrial uses single justify a price around $100 an ounce; the sense it's more expensive than that is that 1) it's used surrounded by the emergency-insurance fashion described above, and 2) it's used as a consumer correct by women and men who want to attract them.

As the first guy said, supply and demand.
Gold is a commodity and the price is set by the simple economics of supply and emergency on various commodity exchanges across the world, but..... it is rather odd that a metal which is essentially useless for anything but to floss some bling bling achieve such a high bazaar valuation.

The uniqueness of gold ingots lies more so in the emergency function than in the supply. The supply is essentially close to all other in danger of extinction commodities, and generally speaking the supply doesn't fluctuate a full lot from year to year in lingo of tons of production. What does ebb and flow quite a bit is emergency. 3 primary areas of demand exist:

1. Gold is considered a not dangerous haven from currency devaluation, inflation, and world instability. Basicly an ounce of a gold is an ounce of gold ingots. Even if the dollar loses purchasing power, in notion you can buy those cheap plastic things we all can't live short from China using gold instead of green serious newspaper. Thus it sort of acts as a currency not attached to any exceptional country's economy.

2. Gold is carried by most countries as a form of international reserve. These reserves are essentially a country's holding of privileged circumstances denominated in the currency of foreign countries and also gold ingots, with these reserves used to settle the rack up for trade defiits and surplusses. Gold in this form can literally be used to buy those cheap plastic things, and international reserve emergency is a major force surrounded by the market for gold ingots.

3. People love to show off gold ingots things. This has become more celebrated as India and China obtain more richness, since these cultures have stong emergency for jewlery, and with their up to date found wealth, are entering the open market to buy gold.

With those 3 forces identified, within general these things increase the price of gold ingots: War, Inflation, Trade Deficits, Recessions, and almost anything else that causes a slow down contained by the general cutback. The rationale for this is that investors flee earnings base equities (stocks) during tough times and move to "safe havens". This shift contained by flow of funds causes increased emergency for a product in small supply and voila! the price moves quickly.

How much do tape artists really grasp from their disc sale profits?

Question:This came to me while recall a debate some time ago about whether shutting down P2P programs would really construct an impact on the dropping sales of CDs. Many times, the opposers of P2P programs say-so that the artist is being stolen from and is losing huge profits. ("They hold to eat too, you know.")

The counter argument to this be that artists only return with a small fraction of the money garnered from CDs, much close to how an author gets single a few cents from selling a book, and that the losses are to be blamed on decreasing ticket sales.

I get that the artist is not the only one involved surrounded by producing a CD. I a short time ago want to know how big their slice of the pie is.

Answers:
Between 1 cent and a dime, depending on the contract. It doesn't sound close to much, but if only 10,000 inhabitants download a song illegally instead of buying it, the artist still loses at lowest possible $1000--that's a lot of money for a different artist. Yet, some artists don't care, and would prefer to obtain their music out to the widest audience so that more people come see them perform--which is where on earth they make TRUE money. Obviously, the music business has to adjust how it distributes music to fit the times we live contained by, and to suit the wishes of the artist. Until then, I would suggest checking out any artists you soak up live whenever possible!

Other Answers:
not much
Depends on their contract. At first they get subsequent to nothing...unless they produce and release on a small sign then get rid of the rights to a big recording company to grasp distribution later.

If an artist/group signs a desperation contract they might not trademark anything...Tom Petty made zippo until his third platinum album. Tom Fogerty still makes zippo rotten all the Credence Clearwater sales/air play.

Speaking of Air Play...that and touring is where on earth bands/artists make their money. The Air Play article only get offered if the recording company doesn't reason you will get any...it remunerated off big for punk band in the 1980's and alternative band in the 1990's.

A world tour can bring an artist playing big venue several million in profit because largely they get 30 or 40 percent of takings and all the profit from merchandise (tee shirts/hats etc.)
Writers/performers with the sole purpose get 9% of compact disc sales and currently receive even smaller amount from downloads, typically around 8%. Record company share of download revenue increases to 68% as opposed to 46% share of revenue from a compact disc. This is for paid downloads. Depending on how you crunch the numbers, you grasp different results when looking at revenue from p4p sharing of copyrighted songs.

If you assume that people download music instead of buying the music, surrounded by fact, the lattice effect is that both the artist and the record studio be paid no money off the mart. If you on the other hand assume that downloading music lead to more exploration of new types of music and increases CDs bought, you can digit that downloading keeps revenue constant or even increases it. The certainty is, this is a very complex issue and every personality has a inimitable buying pattern.

The more exalted question is whether or not this sort of copying is unofficial. Currently, making copies of CDs you own is legal, as capably as listening to music near the express consent of the copyright owner (this consent is implied for radio broadcasts and when you pay for the music). If you're not in these limits, you're immorally infringing on these copyrights. Whether musicians make smaller number money or not, the law is exceptionally clear on the matter. On the other mitt, all those times you photocopied a page out of a textbook for a university report were also technically prohibited. But at least the book publishers didn't hold your IP address to track you down...
Actually its not the artists that's complaining, because an artist gets a majority of its money from state tours and not CDs, it only get about 10 % of the compact disc sales, the other 90 percent are divided between his sign, his parents label (i.e. Warner Bros) his lawyer and taxes. and a rapper is signed onto a contract so CD sale have nil to do with it until his contract is up. People see music video and see artist driving nice cars and living in big houses, but that's not the defence, most of the products they have are rentals from the house to the jewelery to the motor, the only big money maker in the hobby are rappers that own a big company or run it (i.e. Dr. Dre, Eminem, Jermaine Dupri, Jay.Z, 50 cent) they make the big money, current rappers like Young Joc, Young Dro, The Game, and others hold to make money on tours or on mix tape. That's why you always hear something like rappers grinding trying to get out clothing lines, movies, definite estates because that's where they receive their money at. The 1 million they get for making one album they must invest that within all of those projects. But the fastest means of access a rapper can become rich is to be a producer, who nobody sees but make they most money (i.e Cool and Dre, the Neptune's,) or create a label and hire unknown artist and get rich of a them (i.e 50 cent from G-unit, Eminem form 50 cent, and Dr Dre from Eminem) the system is put against the rapper, that's why so masses go broke after 2 or 3 albums and you never see them again.

Getting a investigational errand?

Question:Ok where to start. Im 27 and enjoy been surrounded by ther Army for 6 years now. I will be getting out of the Army close to the end of this year. I own been surrounded by 3 combat tours Afghanistan and now twice contained by Iraq. Im in the Infantry but because of an injury Im in a minute working in a post organization in Iraq.

By the train of Novermeber I will be out of the Army and have no concept what I want to do or could do. I have be through so much so I know I can do anything. I have be looking into being a truck driver, post organization.... I use to think in the region of becoming a cop but after going through all this crap contained by the Army int doent do anything for me. Any ideas or sugestions? Would one a truck driver be a good livelihood or even the post office? What do you consider I should look into?

Answers:
I was contained by the Army and used my education benefits to money for college. If you are eligible for the Montgomery GI Bill and Army College Fund, you will receive a monthly payment from the gov't for $1350 (which may hold increased since I was surrounded by college) as long as you are a full-time student. You also receive free medical care as long as you are within college b/c you are a veteran. You get the money every month by making a 50 second phone phone up to an automated system, it is that easy. You can also gain student loans that don't draw interest until 9 months after graduation, giving you plenty of cash to achieve a car/etc. and pay it bad before any interest is due!

I would recommend doing this, as I have several driving jobs after my service as a dump tuck driver, food assignment person, vehicle salesman, and other crappy jobs resembling waiting tables, telemarketer, and carpenter, but these job aren't steady and they don't pay anything.

With your experience contained by the Army, you could get a amount in criminology and start your own business doing warranty work. There is a lot of that work available, and you'd craft a ton of cash! Like you, I started unsettled at 28 when I went wager on to school, but they give me 60 credit hours for what I did in the military, and colleges are becoming more and more womanly dominated. That means you will be surrounded by babyish, hot girls who will be making some green themselves one day. I get my degree surrounded by accounting and it was the best judgment of my life.

Best of luck adapt to civilian life, as it took me a few years to adjust. But remember that have a steady paycheck like the one you get in the Army doesn't hold to continue right presently and you can put it off for 3 years while you walk to college year round (you want to do this to keep the money flowing within from the government), and college is fun!!

Other Answers:
no i'am not

I would use the lovely GI Bill and budge get a point. Military folks tend to do well contained by any Business Administration or Criminal Justice position. try try try keep on try soon u can fly

First bad, Thank you. Guys like you are true heros, and the populace back surrounded by the states really appreciate you.

Second off, I'd hold to say that life span without a college point sucks for most people. I enjoy friends who went to college and own "professional" jobs, and I hold friends who didn't go to college and own "blue collar" jobs. The professionals bring in more money, like their job better, and all contained by all are happier society.

Typically with blue collar job, you are going to have smaller quantity predictable hours, less recompense, and less influence in how you do your charge. I don't know how my friends who are in retail can stand it.

I'd strongly suggest you find a means of access to get a college scope. It won't change who you are, or what you can do, but it will initiate doors to good, better paying jobs.

Good Luck, and thank you for what you've done for the country and the world's surety. You and your buddies are awesome. Do the Post office. Its easier on your kidneys and you already own experience.Or you could be a lifer in the Army.Good luck and stay past the worst

Is the Small Business Administration impressive surrounded by helping women?

Question:I see they have a special interest clause, http://www.sba.gov/financing/special/women.html, but do they truely help women succeed within business?

Answers:
Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) have be a special focus of the SBA. Due to their push, and legislation, federal departments such as the Department of Defense have set asides for WOSB. Furthermore, immense prime contractors such as Raytheon, Boeing, etc. are encouraged to contract and subcontract near WOSB, and are given incentives. They also utilize them because many companies own certain subcontracting goal to Small and Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs).

Thus there are plentifully of set asides for WOSB, and contracting and subcontracting opportunities that exist. Furthermore, when a WOSB no longer is of late a self-certifying WOSB, and registers for the SDB program, they are entitled to even more benefits, and can enter into programs such as the Mentor-Protege Program, a Program that many different federal departments and agencies posses, such as the DoD, FAA, Treasury, NASA, and SBA itself (though contained by certain programs they are allowed to enter only as a self-certified WOSB). This enables them to work beside prime contractors and form strategic business relations with them and the establishment.

The opportunites for WOSB are definitely nearby, and the SBA is doing things to help them.

Other Answers:
The overall efficiency of SBA has be questioned within recent years. In April, their admistrator resigned due to criticisms of the way SBA runs their programs, principally with the Katrina victims. And its budget is shrinking even more -- the proposed budget cuts roughly $6 billion within discretionary and non-discretionary funding for federal small business programs across all policy agencies.

But yes, SBA does have a segment for women entrepreneurs. They volunteer classes on various aspects of entrepreneurships; support women secure loan financing, and help with network.

qatar economics?

Question:

Answers:
Before the discovery of oil the cutback of the Qatari region focused on fishing and pearling. After the introduction of the Japanese cultured pearl onto the world market surrounded by the 1920s and 1930s, Qatar's pearling industry faltered. However, the discovery of grease reserves, beginning surrounded by the 1940s, completely transformed the nation's economy. Now, the country have a high standard of living, beside many social services offered to its citizens and adjectives the amenities of any modern nation.

Qatar's national income primarily derives from oil and instinctive gas exports. The country has grease reserves estimated at 15 billion barrels (2.4 km^3). Qataris' wealth and standard of living compare all right with those of Western European nation. Qatar has the uppermost GDP per capita in the developing world ($27,400 as of 2005). Qatar is also one of the two most minuscule taxed sovereign states surrounded by the world with no income toll, Bahrain is the other.

While oil and gas will probably remain the backbone of Qatar's reduction for some time to come, the country seeks to stimulate the private sector and develop a "scholarship economy". In 2004 it established the Qatar Science & Technology Park to attract and serve technology-based companies and entrepreneurs, from overseas and within Qatar.

Petroleum is the cornerstone of Qatar's discount and accounts for more than 70% of total government revenue, more than 60% of gross domestic product, and roughly 85% of export returns. Proved oil reserves of 3.7 billion barrels (588,000,000 m^3) should ensure continued output at current level for 23 years. Oil has given Qatar a per capita GDP three-fourths that of the ascendant West European industrial countries. Qatar's proved reserves of natural gas exceed 7000 km^3, more than 5% of the world total, third largest within the world. Production and export of natural gas are becoming increasingly historic. Long-term goals phase the development of off-shore petroleum and the diversification of the discount.

Macro-economic trend

Qatar is now the richest country within the Muslim world. Current GDP per capita registered a world record-breaking peak growth of 1,156% contained by the Seventies. This became hastily unsustainable and Qatar's current GDP per capita contracted 53% in the Eighties. But rising intercontinental oil constraint helped current GDP per capita to expand 94% surrounded by the Nineties. Diversification is still a long-term issue for this over-exposed economy.

This is a chart of trend of gross domestic product of Qatar at marketplace prices estimated by the International Monetary Fund with info in millions of Qatari Rials.
Year Gross Domestic Product US Dollar Exchange
1980 28,631 3.65 Rials
1985 22,829 3.63 Rials
1990 26,792 3.64 Rials
1995 29,622 3.63 Rials

Oil production

In 1973, grease production and revenues increased dramatically, moving Qatar out of the ranks of the world's poorest countries and providing it with one of the superlative per capita incomes. Despite a marked decline surrounded by levels of grease production and prices since 1982, Qatar remains a wealthy country.

Qatar's discount was contained by a downturn from 1982 to 1989. OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) quotas on crude oil production, the lower price for grease, and the generally unpromising outlook on international market reduced oil profits. In turn, the Qatari government's spending plans had to be cut to contest lower income. The resulting recessionary local business climate caused oodles firms to lay off expatriate staff. With the cutback recovering in the 1990s, expatriate populations, mainly from Egypt and South Asia, have grown again.

Oil production will not long remain at summit levels of 500,000 barrels (80,000 m^3) per hours of daylight, as oil field are projected to be mostly depleted by 2023. Fortunately, large innate gas reserves have be located off Qatar's northeast coast. Qatar's proved reserves of gas are the third-largest contained by the world, exceeding 7000 km^3. The economy be boosted in 1991 by completion of the $1.5-billion Phase I of North Field gas nouns. In 1996, the Qatargas project began exporting liquefied inborn gas (LNG) to Japan. Further phases of North Field gas development costing billions of dollars are surrounded by various stages of planning and nouns.

Qatar's heavy industrial projects, adjectives based surrounded by Umm Said, include a refinery with a 50,000 barrels (8,000 m^3) per year capacity, a fertilizer plant for urea and ammonia, a steel plant, and a petrochemical plant. All these industries use gas for fuel. Most are pooled ventures between European and Japanese firms and the state-owned Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC). The U.S. is the central equipment supplier for Qatar's oil and gas industry, and U.S. companies are playing a leading role in North Field gas nouns.

Qatar pursues a vigorous program of "Qatarization," beneath which all integrated venture industries and affairs of state departments strive to move Qatari nationals into positions of greater authority. Growing numbers of foreign-educated Qataris, including abundant educated surrounded by the U.S., are returning home to assume key positions formerly inhabited by expatriates. In order to control the influx of expatriate workers, Qatar have tightened the administration of its foreign manpower programs over former times several years. Security is the principal basis for Qatar's strict entry and immigration rules and regulations.

how interruption creates problem contained by communications?

Question:how interruption creates problem in business communications

Answers:
In anything where on earth there is interuption a hole is produced the gap depends on the type of interuption and down the interruption. Once you have a cranny example, in a conversation, you usually loose yout trend of thought because you have to leave your track to turn to another subject. Lost time is money lost. If you a building a deck and you did not have the planks deliver on time. You payment extra money to the workmen who are being remunerated by the day and you won't know how to have the use of the deck until a subsequent date. That is a great inconvenience depending on your budget and who the workers are. Interuptions in communications whether on the phone or within person, can create
confusion not just in the commmunication itself but within the actual job to be carried out as a result of the communications.

Other Answers:
It's RUDE!
because the communication is broken by interrruptions and contained by conversation it can cause one or both individual in the conversation to loose focus on what they were discussing and depending on what the interruption is concerning it may directly affect the mood or attitude of one of the individuals involved this is where you use intellegent diplomacy to bring the conversation back or know when to stop and pick it up next
