In Canada, an accountant is a jack-of-all-trades.
You have to earn your scope and pass exams for going on for 2 years. Then, you can work in accounting, nouns, or management. When you're feed up working for other people, you own the knowledge to start up your business.

It really depends on the circumstances. Has he checked other resources? Like trying a budget plan designed to foot off debt like lightning? Bankruptcy will affect his credit adversly for much longer than the 7 years he is told. And worse than bankruptcy, is the slow recompense methods of the many credit assistant programs out within. It may take complex work and perserverance, but if he has ANY disposable income whatsoever, he can payment this off. I lately saw a series on Oprah regarding getting out of debt. Maybe he can find some answers at oprah.com...the debt diet.
