I ruminate there are some fundamental question you need to answer...
1. What helpful of business do you want? Something where you take the formula and process/method from someone else (i.e., opening a Subway or franchise), or something where on earth you build your own vision.
2. What considerate of business do you want? Do you want a retail store, a service business, an at-home business, a part-time business, etc. Be punctilious about signing up for something that looks attractive, i.e., "work at home, grasp paid $XXX,XXX" - these are telemarketing job or other jobs that could potentialy enjoy a big payoff, but they are not starting your own business.
3. What resources do you have? Money, time, etc. Are you going to maintain working while you start the business? Etc.
There are many fitting books out there on space a business, that give you suggestions on how to write business plans, where on earth to get money, how to negotiate lease, etc. Before you get serious, you MUST write a business plan, which at lowest possible helps you deduce the finance model, how much you could settle yourself, what kind of overhead costs you can sustain, etc.
