Question:I work at a small organization and we do NOT own a lot of money for staff awards, bonuses, etc. I enjoy tried implementing incentive awards for low sick depart and innovation before which own blown up in my facade as people considered them unfair-not everyone could attain them due to sick children at home, budget constraints, etc. We do obtain small service recognition awards, and a christmas gathering etc. I want to implement a monthly recognition award for staff base on something good that have happened (like designing a bright exhibit) but am not sure how to develop the guidelines for a program that will work and be fair to everyone, and also flowing to quantify. We will give our own awards, so I do NOT want a company to grant me their awards programs with watches and pins and cast-offs like that. We own tried a system where the workers nominate a staff member for an award respectively month and that has also not worked. I've used them before and they've be pretty good. Their customer service is alright too. I remember a few years ago I have a request (actually can't remember what it was since it have been a while) and the character was courteous in seeing it through. Call their customer service department and see what they can do in the region of the problem. As far as I remember, they're friendly.

Do you want to know why they do it? It's really stupid - the marketing dept comes up next to this great offer, later they go out and buy mail lists and communication the thing.
But they never stop to "clean" the schedule, to remove current customers from it... so you get a mail they didn't want you to get and you know the story from at hand.
It gets better:
- they don't comprehend or refuse to adopt that a current customer is far more valuable than a prospect, so you should progress to great expense to avoid pissing them off
- they "cheap out" by not paying for the roll cleaning that would prevent this problem, since that comes out of the marketing budget, but nobody has a budget for "customers lost and phone call handled" so nobody fixes the problem
- besides, it's just wrong to volunteer strangers a better deal than an existing customer can catch, and yet everybody does it.
