Fraud is when someone else charges something in your details. A dispute is if the merchant (yahoo) charged you for goods/services and the good/service rendered were any woefully poor or not rendered at all. If its fraud, the cc company is going to close your statement and open an investigation. You will not hold to pay unless their investigation determines the charge to be legit. If its a dispute, afterwards the CC company will refuse reimbursement to the merchant and investigate with the merchant as to the issue. If the good/service be not delivered, probability are the charge will either be removed from your report or the item will be delivered (except for extenuating circumstances approaching lack of contract). If the good/service be of poor quality but deliver, the charge MAY be reversed if the investigation comes up to that account.
