Non-Price competition, This is when you have a product superior to you competetition. it may be superior standard or maybe newly prcieved to be superior because of you brand image and paper etc. In this case, you compete on things save for price (Price maybe complex or the same). Take BMW competeing with Toyota.
2. Price competition, this is when you set you price lower than competeion, and try to gain a souk share because you product is cheaper.
Haveing said that, you need to also identify you target open market segment and compettion to know whic strategy will work.
You can only compete on price if u invention more effectivly than others, and ofcourse how well u can total costs. Cost calculation isnt as unproblematic as it sounds, u can find the direct material and direct occupation easily, what around selling expenses, admin, factory overheads, and how to you spread them over you products.
I would advice reading up on Cost Accounting, and a elementary marketing book.
