What is the definite inside "dirt" on the public sale of GMAC?
Answers:
If you are desparately short of cash and necessitate some very defectively, your best option is to supply something that someone would want to buy. For GM the only entity they had that be making money and therefore be attractive to purchasers was GMAC. This does not quailify as "dirt", I am afraid.
Personally, it breaks my heart that GM and Ford are doing so poorly. Whether the U S wishes to recognize the certainty or not, what is good for GM is correct for the U S and vice versa. Shipping all production overseas is butchery the U S but the politicians are too stupid to realize that. Chinese companies do not pay taxes surrounded by the U S. They pay taxes surrounded by China.

Why are currency symbols made up of a notification near two lines through it?
What do the two lines signify? For example, lb for the British pound, $ for the US Dollar. And if the "L" is for Latin "Librum", what does the "S" stand for?Answers:
i'm not sure how accurate this is but apparently the dollar ($) symbol originally started off as a memo "U" superimposed onto a letter "S" to indicate that the currency be from the US and over time the bottom of the U was dropped past its sell-by date as the dollar was adopt by other countries so it was in recent times left as an S beside 2 vertical lines through it.
i'm not too sure about the other currency symbols though.

Retailers(where we shop)buy there commodities in bulk of wholesalers.

A wholesaler is essentialy a middleman between a manufacturer and a retailer.
As you probably know, manufacturer produce products and retailers sell them to end-users. A can of motor grease, for example, is manufactured and packaged, afterwards sold to automobile owners through retail outlets and/or repair shops. In between, however, there are a few push button operators—also known as distributors—that serve to move the product from businesswoman to market. Some are retail distributors, the charitable that sell directly to consumers (end users). Others are certain as merchant wholesale distributors; they buy products from the manufacturer or other source, consequently move them from their warehouses to companies that any want to resell the products to end users or use them contained by their own operations.
According to U.S. Industry and Trade Outlook, a twelve-monthly publication issued by The McGraw-Hill Companies and the U.S. Department of Commerce/International Trade Administration, wholesale trade in-cludes establishments that sell products to retailers, merchants, contractors and/or industrial, institutional and commercial users. Wholesale distribution firms, which supply both durable goods (furniture, department equipment, industrial supplies and other goods that can be used repeatedly) and nondurable commodities (printing and writing paper, groceries, chemicals and periodicals), don’t go to ultimate household consumers.
Three types of operation can perform the functions of wholesale trade: wholesale distributors; manufacturers’ sale branches and offices; and agents, brokers and commission agents. As a wholesale distributor, you will probably run an independently owned and operate firm that buys and sells products of which you enjoy taken ownership. Generally, such operations are run from one or more warehouse where inventory commodities are received and later shipped to customers.
Put simply, as the owner of a wholesale distributorship, you will be buying produce to sell at a profit, much approaching a retailer would. The only difference is that you’ll be working within a business-to-business realm by selling to retail companies and other wholesale firms approaching your own, and not to the buying public. This is, however, somewhat of a traditional definition. For example, companies like Sam’s Club and BJ’s Warehouse own been using warehouse political leanings clubs, where consumers are competent to buy at what appear to be wholesale prices, for some time now, thus blurring the lines. However, the traditional wholesale distributor is still the one who buys “from the source” and sell to a reseller.

what are the functions of wholesalers?
Answers:
Wholesalers buy large quantity of goods (usually from manufacturer directly or importers) to sell to retailers. Retailers later sell the products to the public. Because wholesalers buy surrounded by large quantity, they get tremendous discounts. They easy target up their goods (to turn a profit), even so keep the prices low ample so that retailers can still sell at a profit. They also buy and supply without collecting state taxes. Sales excise is collected at the retail level.
A retailer would use a wholesaler when they can't purchase considerable enough quantity directly from the manufacturer to fulfill capitalist purchasing requirements.
