I've hear of one idea to lower gasoline prices that deserves more attention. Pick a brand to boycott for a month. For example, let's say aloud you think ExxonMobile make too much. Well, you start a grassroots campaign to own everyone boycott Exxon or Mobile gas stations for a month. The company will have no choice but to lower their prices and this will force other gas stations to contest those prices.
Now, the problem is that this will be very difficult to coordinate, populace will break the boycott lines, and many gas stations are not corporate-owned but franchised by mom-and-pops. I wouldn't want to wreck their financial well-being lately because I want to pay 20 cents smaller amount a gallon.
As for other countries using nuclear power -- I believe each country have a right to use it; I just hope that it doesn't ill-treat it and that seems to be the situation presently. It's like going hunting next to an fully-automatic AK47 when a simple shot gun will do.
Of course, the US has the largest nuclear arsenal, but to be precise besides the fact. If Canada, the UK, or Australia have the largest arsenal, I wouldn't care. However, when a country that HATES the U.S. have a nuclear weapon, I do care and verbs how they might use it.
