2 charges on my visa/debit card own not cleared, June 07 & Aug 07, how long do I keep on up to that time reclaim my $?

June 2007 - restaurant charge, from out of town. Aug 2007 local store, both charges total $125.93. I keep forgetting to contact my wall, I have receipts for both charges, but immediately I'm thinking why tell them to lift my money? Is it safe to reclaim my money?

Answers: I have the same item happen to me... June 06 and still waiting for hte debit to cart place! I asked my bank and they said the merchant have NO time frame in which they call for to claim their money.

Personally, I would reclaim the money. Chances are they are not going to debit your account months and months subsequent. OR you can call the merchant and ask them roughly speaking the purchases. The bank really can't do anything for you...

Good Luck!
if you hold receipts for the "charges", then what's the issue? - they are legit charges - earnings them - what do you mean reclaim your money? you own to pay the bills

How can I find out if my husband has another bank account or safe deposit box?

Answers: If he has other accounts they will leave trails.

Interest has to be reported on taxes, he would get a 1099 for it.

Do you think he is using his work/parents/friends addresses?

Does he use the family computer to do his banking, etc? If he does you can buy a keystroke recording program that will record every key he types/site he visits on the web.

It may require a very sneaky investigation to find out.

Tough one.
unless they are located in a community property state, you can't.

and even if they are, you probably can't.
Pull a current credit report from the credit reporting agencies, and a banking report from Chex system. 90%+ of bank accounts will show up. Can't help you about safe deposit boxes; most banks require a banking relationship to get one, but the box itself won't show up in a credit or banking report.

This is a legal grey area - if you have power of attorney, it's 100% legal. You may have "de-facto" power of attorney (ever get electricity turned on in your husband's name?), even without a signed document. To be safe, ask an attorney.

This question is markedly easy to answer, but I won't do it, since it appears to be element of your homework for a financial class. Figure it out on your OWN.
