This is big-hearted of two questions surrounded by one.. how can I make money selling clothes and profit past its sell-by date of it if the shipping is so high? (I would similar to an honest answer, not "Don't USE EBAY!") If I have the shipping at $7.00 because it's over 2lbs. (should I ship Priority or Parcel?) I know usps.com and how it works, but shipping clothing which is the best means of access to go near shipping?, because I notice sometimes the rates transmutation and Priority will actually be cheaper?? With the carrier other than the USPS (UPS, FedEx, & DHL) whether or not you are shipping to a residence or a business is a cost factor.
For one and two pound packages, USPS Parcel Post is the cheapest but once you grasp over that weight, it depends.
I would suggest that you compare the costs to ship packages between the USPS and at lowest possible one of the other major carrier.
For example, a three pound package shipped to a business going to a zone 8 (like NY to Beverly Hills) is cheaper next to UPS, FedEx, & DHL than USPS Parcel Post. But the same carton is cheaper with Parcel Post if it is going locally.
Sign up for an on-line statement with a carter, get the right cargo, find out if you are shipping to a business or not, and then compare the rates to the USPS.
This opening, you will not overpay for shipping and increase your profit.
Just have the risk for priority or standard shipping on your listing & permit the buyer choose.
