Interest problem?

1. Your bank pays 6% simple interest on funds accounts and credits interest quarterly. If you deposit $1200 the first day of the year, how much interest will the hill have remunerated after three quarters of a year?

Answers: (.75) x (.06) x (1200) = ?

For simple interest calculation.. it's 'Principal x Rate x Time'
If your bank reward simple interest and credits it quarterly then for the first quarter your wall would pay you:

1200 X .06 X .25 or 18 dollars

This 18 dollars is credited to your rationalization giving you 1218.00

For the next quarter the interest would be

1218 X .06 X .25 or 18.27

This 18.27 is credited to your portrayal giving you 1236.27

for the next quarter the interest would be

1236.27 X .06 X .25 or 18.54

Thus your total interest would be 18.00 + 18.27 + 18.54 or 54.81 by the third quarter

Does WaMu hold any ATM fees?

I am just curious...I hear that they did not charge for using their ATM machines or non WaMu ATMs...

Answers: "Free ATM cash withdrawal worldwide: Withdraw cash from your WaMu Free Checking statement at any ATM and we won’t charge you a fee. Sadly, other ATM operator may still charge you a nonrefundable fee and foreign currency exchange and transaction fees may apply."
They do own ATM fees for non wamu ATMs for certain types of accounts, but the latest wamu free checking has no ATM fees. BUT approaching previously mentioned the other bank may charge you a allowance.
