Good "Personal Finance 101" type of book for untimely profession types?
Just looking for a decent book that's sort of a 'nouns 101' type of thing. There's a ton of these types of books out near, just wondering what's a dutiful one so I'm not wasting my time.I'm in my 20's and own some of the basics covered (IRA, 401k, high-interest checking/savings) and am immediately starting to get more serious going on for this stuff (just opened a Schwab statement, looking to do more than simply put money in the bank). Hopefully that help give you a better perspective of where on earth I'm at.

i am reading the wall st journal complete personal nouns guidebook right now and it is really apposite. it is an easy read and have GREAT detail and industy lingo.
i also just read suze orman immature, fabulous and broke. that was a appropriate one as well but this other book sounds similar to it would be right up your alley.

I know everyone hate mentioning Dave Ramsey, but he is a good guy to listen to dependant on your smooth of fitness awareness. Dave Ramsey has a radio show on each day as does Suze Orman. I would also consult any literature that you are able to pick up from your financial planner.
You're started on the right track if you're within you're young and investing.
the "dummies" series should comfort you, because they are not for dummies at all. they are fun to read, informative and trouble-free reads.

I have an idea that suze orman's books are terrible, I resembling warren buffet, I think the black swan is a great book to read something like the markets, give you a little different perspective. I thought rich dads prophecy be interesting on the downside of mutual funds. There are a few more good ones on www.novelwagon.com. I would also suggest reading books roughly how the market certainly works, like gruesome americans and wolf of wall street.
