Make a complaint to the manager and communicate him/her that you will close your account. You probably won't hold to (it can be a bit of a hassle) but it should mean you seize your money back promptly.
After have been asked more than once to correct their mistake they should be grovelling!
Make a formal complaint and put it writing also hold on to a copy of it, as it could take some time up to that time you get it put right, I would put my money beneath the bed before I would put it contained by the Halifax
Halifax are the worst bank contained by the whole entire world.
The ONLY means of access to get through to them is to threaten them beside the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Answers: You can add monies to any side you want at any time.. it doesnt have to be a payroll presumption.

The only limitations you enjoy are how MUCH you can put in and still be deductible... not HOW you put it within...
You can buy mutual funds any time that you want to. Great companies are Vanguard and T. Rowe Price.

You can also buy an annuity any time you want. It's not a good investment for most population, but for some it's great.

Good luck.
