Opinions on Online Banking? Good or Bad?
Answers: good 4 emergencies, but i dont really like it personally because theres too much fraud going on nowadays!
Love it
You can see and move stuff, pay bills, without moving out of your chair
Good password and ignore any emails from "banks"
VERY CONVINIENT.
But Id say do avoid it. With all those scam claims and all - yes do avoid it.
Better to be safe than sorry one day, to be honest!
Using online banking for 10 years and I don't know how I ever lived without it! I pay all my bills online, transfer money to my other accounts, am able to check to see if checks or pre-authorized payments have passed through the account & email money to family that lives far away for Xmas and birthdays, makes it very convenient.
Most bank websites have secure measures to make sure no one can find out your password, using a code phrase, picture you choose and & your password to correctly identify it's you.
NEVER respond to emails from banks, even if the email knows your name, looks exactly like you banks website or tells you to update your banking information. If you ever get an email like that, type the banks website into your browser (do not click on any links in the email) and find out their email address for reporting phishing scams, then forward that email to them. As long as you do that, no worries.
Despite my brothers recommendations, I put off trying online banking for years. I finally broke down and tried it 7 or 8 years ago and I love it. I've never had any problems.
I can literally sit down for a few minutes once a month and schedule all my bills. Recurring bills like car payment or rent can be set up to pay automatically every month. Yet you can still stop or change the payment up to a couple days before the due date.
I save on postage and don't have to remember to drop the bills in the mail.
The hard part was the initial set up of payees. You have to type in all those addresses and account numbers. But once that's done, it's a breeze.
I dont hold credit cards how can i verbs fund to paypal?
Secondly How much paypal will charge on me if i transfer 75$ toon ebay?
Answers: You don't exactly entail a credit card. Just a bank explanation number of any kind will verify you through paypal. The actual process can cart anywhere from 3-5 business days. Once you are a verified member you will consequently be able to distribute AND receive full payments of any kind. Hope that help!
all you do is move about to a store like walmart and buy a prepaid credit card. only just tell the entity you wanna put 75 dollars on it.
Direct Debit Guarantee Question?
Ive been going through my halifax statements, and hold noticed 3 direct debit payments to a company name "PlusNet" which i discovered is a broadband company, totalling some lb70 in October/November. Considering ive be with virgin adjectives year its worrying, i contacted plusnet who said they have no account of my details.I then contacted my guard and quoted the direct debit guarantee that if any funds are taken without authorisation or contained by error, then you are entitled to a full IMMEDIATE repayment. They kept telling me on the phone its not true, and that i must walk to a branch, fill surrounded by an indemnity claim form, and wait upto 3 days for the funds returning.
I quoted the instant part again, to which i be told it doesnt work like that, we have need of to reclaim the funds.
Am i entitled to an immediate repayment into my account nearby and then whilst on the mobile? And if i argue enough will they do it?
Thanks
Answers: No they won't. When they articulate immediately, they indicate immediately after it is proven. Go steep out the forms so, you can get your money fund. Geesh!
The Halifax is the worst bank contained by the world and will probably charge you lb35 for refunding your lb70 later hit you with an XTRA
lb40 charge for administering the lb35 charge.
Give it a go, i ridge with Halifax and merely before christmas they charged me a total of lb190 over two days, one be for going overdrawn by lb0.34!
i stayed on the phone untill they paid the charges vertebrae into the account, and after plenty of arguing they did, basically quote to them the guarentee and that if they break it, they are breaking the bankers code which isw illegal, and dont grasp off the phone, they wont swing up on you, so ask for the supervisor!
Good luck!
