To make some extra currency I think you should give somebody a lift something you do already and make it into a profit. For example, my friend like to do painting and drawing, next he sells them online on ebay. If you can suggest of anything that you do that will sell than by adjectives means do it because you'll resembling what you do and you're getting paid for it.
oh another item about the spending traditions, you arent going to get anywhere if you hang on to spending your money seriously. Just set a plan of how much you really need to buy, dont buy it because you want it really desperate. Have you ever had that sentiment of not liking the item you bought at the store after you brought it home, yes? I though so...this is call "impulse buying" where on earth you want it there and near and not giving it too much thought. Ask yourself if the item is really needed.
You could just stop spending your allowance on things that just satisfy your whims.
