What if I want to retrieve "regular sized" money at Menards? Did they muse of offering that as an chance?

Those giant dollar bills just don't fit surrounded by my wallet...

Answers: you have be drinking again you stinky! LoL xoxo
Menard's, as a Texas based company, approved to keep their flier slogan in attempts to appeal to the "down-home Southern" demographic within which they were founded. As you may know, everything is big contained by Texas (including currency, a remnant of secession). My advice would be to opt for credit, as Menard's cumbersome "big money" basically doesn't have a place within modern society.

How much are you supposed to own surrounded by funds?

We are married and have a townhome, and we own one car rewarded off, and we are paying rotten the truck. We accrued abundantly of money in cc debt, and we are on a plan and paying it past its sell-by date... however, i am confused about funds. How much are you supposed to have within savings within case of an emergency? TIA

Answers: Savings is a must!
It is astute to start with a hope of $1000.00 for emergencies ( since they will happen) while you procure your finances in charge .
Next, save at most minuscule 3 months of income.
3-6 months of living expenses... a minimum. more is even better.

Technically it is recommended to sock away 10% of your gross earnings... but deplorably in sincerity most of us wish we could sock away 10% however, even if it is with the sole purpose $10.00 a paycheck end of the year you are already up to $520.00 and still accrue a little interest.

Best of luck.
In your situation, I'd hold sour on the emergency fund and first put all of your available resources toward paying stale your credit cards.

The best interest rates around for savings accounts are contained by the ballpark of 3.5% (that's what I get at ING Direct). Credit card rates can be 15% to 30%! It make no sense to tie up thousands of dollars in a stash account earn only a trickle of interest while you still own credit card balances that gouge you every month.

In the meantime, if you enjoy an emergency, you can still draw from the credit cards.

Once your credit cards are paid rotten, however, start by vowing to pay them stale in full every month. Then, and with the sole purpose then, should you consider building up an emergency fund.

Going forward, you'll hold your emergency fund to cover large, startling expenses (instead of going back into debt on the cards).

How much of an emergency fund? For most folks, six months of expenses is of late plain silly. There's no need to tie up so much change in a low interest statement. Three months is fine. While you're busy saving, don't forget to fund your 401k or IRA, too!

Good luck!
