Can someone please review my spending plan?
I'm going to be out on my own (so to speak) for the first time this June. I've made up a sort of spending plan. If someone could please review it, that would be great. It will be myself, my fiance, and my daughter, who will be six months old. We live contained by Chicago IL.
Food: $400/mo
Laundry: (laundromat & soap) $100/mo
Personal Hygiene: $30/mo
Cleaning supplies: $10-15/mo
Gas & Electric: $50/mo (we will only be required to foot cooking gas and possibly elecrtic. we will live in an apartment, contained by which these utilities are typically included)
Phone- $30/mo (via vonage)
School- $250/mo (our monthly tuition combined)
Gas-$90/mo
Baby expenses- $270/mo (accurate as I already care for my daughter and know the cost of prudence and how it will go up once she starts solid food, etc.)
Is this a upright spending plan? Our combined monthly net income is appx. 3000 per month. we will enjoy 1700 dollars left over after adjectives of these expenses, which will be put into rent and misc. items.
Answers: Looks good. I would allow for a time more for personal hygience, uitilities and gas. From my experience, those are the items that tend to be bigger than you expect. With a baby. you might want to donate to your grocery bill too. You're going to be awfully busy and I doubt you'll have much time to sit around adjectives coupons and comparing ads. So, pass yourself a little breathing room.
Oh, and put some aside contained by savings. If you own direct deposit with your employer you can do this automatically. But, try to put approaching 5% of your income into a savings rationalization each month. You'll stipulation it when emergencies come up.
Congratulations on moving out, and on your tot and upcoming marriage. Good luck!
This looks obedient, but you should try to keep a spreadsheet of your spending over the subsequent few months so you can see how much you are actually spending.
I finally get off my butt and started keeping a categorized copy of my spending and found that I was spending nearly 2x as much on some things than I thought I was. It really help me to cut back on unnecessary spending that I didn't even realize I be doing and has made it much easier to put more into money.
What about insurance costs, saloon maintenance, going out, reserves, gifts, clothes, postage, emergency funds, etc?
What do northern rock charge for repaying mortgage early?
Answers: not a lot, I bet they could do with the money
If your mortgage is already with them then it should state on he mortgage offer what the early repayment charge is, it depends on the products, and the term of the mortgage as if they do charge a fee it will charge from year to year. Either check your own documents (usually near the back of the offer) or phone them up to check (but you will still need to know your mortgage account number).
