$3,000 check contained by my side?
My bf did a deal next to a guy on craigslist which sounded very fishy to me, the guy lives contained by NY we live in CA he bought my bfs phone for $40 and sent a $3,000 cashiers check so my bf can do a western confederation to a person surrounded by Nigeria. i told my bf it doesnt sound right and dont do it and he get mad and we argued, we share a guard account and my bf deposited the check and instead of giving my bf $40 he told him to rob $240. Well yesterday my account become frozen because the money was anyone taken back and since my bf took $240 the sandbank took my $$ so to make it equal $3,000 but $100 exta dollars enjoy been taken and immediately i have no $$ and im silly (a) my bf, the check was bounced because it be bad and the guy closed his side? what should i do?Answers: It happens adjectives the time. My rule of thumb is " If it sounds to good to be true it probably is". Why would someone retribution $240.00 for a $40.00 phone?
Contact your local Police Dept. and file a fraud report. You will not be held liable if fraud is present. This have happened to me as I be taken for hundreds by scammers from Nigeria. Whatever you do. DO NOT do business with online businesses from Nigeria they are a hotbed of scammers and on the FTC scrutinize list.
