My employer is taking my 401k cont out of my pay cheque but not putting it within my 401k acct. What whould I do?
My 401k is through John Hancock and they are not willing to do anything more or less it. My employer at the beginning of the year changed 401k providers and have not said anything about the previous 401k program and if and when it would be slowed down. This is all my money, taken from my check, the 401k clash is another issue but the money taken from my check is my biggest concern.. Thoughts!!Answers: Jackie has it right...if your employer changed 401k providers at the birth of the year then you are contained by a blackout period where on earth they are basically reconciling the accounts. Blackout length is typically 30-45 days. You probably (it's legally required) received a blackout make out that explains all of this. Many population get these and simply toss it surrounded by garbage lacking reading it or understanding it.
And reporting your employer to the DOL should be the real last step you should pinch. The time and expense required to respond to DOL audits or even requests is enough to piss stale anyone; especially an employer that is going by files and is actually doing zilch wrong. Check with your employer to fashion sure that it's in blackout. If it is...linger until the blackout period is over THEN settle on if you need to investigate further.
When employer change 401(k) providers the employer usually have a meeting next to the employees and explains the alien program or at least provide paperwork explaining the topical program.
There is a period call a "blackout" period when the monies surrounded by the 401(k) are being transferred to the bright provider. During this period you are not competent to make any investment choices, etc.
Since this be only changed at the dawn of the year it is very possible you are still within this "blackout" period.
Contact your human resources personage or department to see if this might be what is going on in your satchel. Any money that has be deducted from your paycheck during this time of year should show up in your current program.
Legally, your employer has at most 45 days to deposit 401k withholdings into your information.
John Hancock offers online access to 401k accounts, so you can see when deposits be actually made. (Presumably they would enlighten you on the phone, too.) Then you can match the deposits to your recompense slips.
If your employer is not making deposits in a timely posture -- and since John Hancock accepts deposits any time, "timely" is more similar to a week after payroll -- you can report your employer.
You would report them to the US Dept of Labor. Companies "borrowing" 401k or tax withholdings is, lamentably, not terribly infrequent but that doesn't make it permissible.
Banks Are the worst? What would you do?
My story starts off 2 months ago when my husband sent within by money order because he be out of town. $500 for a auto loan to compass bank that be 2 payments. They LOST our money poof they never saw it. So they asked us to pay one salary just while they put a trace on it. They took two, next to out autherization. THey finally agreed to pay us pay for but it nthe mean time messed up three bill that we be suppose to pay because they autimatically took it and presently we are in the negitive and enjoy bills coming. Im beyond pissed. What would you do?Answers: I work for a bank and we've normally sent letter out to those other creditors that it be our mistake and we paid any fee's that be incurred by the customer. You might want to do this seeing as though it was of no error of your own.
Go into the branch and do not leave until they fix it! i.e. pathetic. narrate them you will make it set the mess ups they have cause. this should be fixed immediately!

Switch banks, and I stopped doing automatic payments, it only just lets them whip money when ever they want... and then you acquire charged for it, I know... I am in one and the same boat.
So when you switch banks, relay them that there are to be no automatic payments minus prior authorization.
Get all your information, receipts, etc together
Go to key office

If you have adjectives the proof, they can't argue with you.

bank for a time and say the other money is coming.
pulse i don't know what wall u r talking nearly
DO NOT LEAVE TELL THEY FIX IT
but get adjectives your recipes together later go to the
most important office ,and hold a talk near them about what

Hello, I'm 20 years old and I'm doing things my own route because I don't really have anyone to minister to me support myself. Since I'm in college I really don't enjoy the time for a full time job, but I still own lots of expenses and need an income.
These days I do survey-type websites which don't require you to hold a credit card or anything like that to formulate some money online. All you need is a mail address and an email address that you can use and you fill out advertiser's surveys which are usually purely "type in your e-mail".. or "type within your zip code." Each 'offer' take about 30 second and you receive anywhere from $.30 to $2.00 per offer. I am a full time college student and I usually construct at least $100 a week this opening, without ever putting out a dime of my own money.
I've written adjectives about them within my blog, so feel free to transport a look and I highly recommend signing up for Cash Crate. If you sign up by clicking on my referral connection (by clicking my banners on my blog, here: http://www.xanga.com/thewisegal... ), I will convey you some helpful guidance about how to maxmize your wherewithal to make money through Cash Crate, invite you to involve yourself in in some awesome contests beside my other referrals (for brass prizes, of course), and help you out next to any start up questions you may hold.
