Answers: th shadow is absolutly right , that a recession is 2 quaters of negative growth , however because the govt doesnt take food and energy prices while calculating inflation thats why it could be that it would declare it later , I believe that we are already in to the recession for atleast one quarter , another one has to follow , so that would everthing included mean another 4/5 quarters, I am guessing at mid 2009, the whole 08 would be in recession.
Although in all likelihood it is a recession, we do not definitively know yet.
