Are electric companies stealing from us?
I live in a 1100 sq ft apartment and I am other at work, I use electricity I only involve, my electric bill this month was $210.00, friends of mine that live within a house tells me their bills are $300.00 to $450.00 so I be wondering how much electric companies bill people a month, this is a amount I came up beside...There were 126,316,181 households within the U.S. in 2006 according to the U.S. Census Buro, if we estimate an average of $250.00 a month for respectively household in electric bill, times the number of houseolds; give us $31,579,045,250.00. In other words over 31.5 billions of dollars a month that the electric companies place in their pockets, that doesn't count what they put together from companies and government, do you really believe they should be charging us that much money? I read aloud no, what do you think?. I utter people doesn't single need import tax cuts and rebates, we inevitability lower prices.
Some one out there is getting extraordinarily rich, and all of us becoming poor.
It is not celebration, is it?
Answers: Of the 31.5 billion, billions go right vertebrae out to fix wires, pay salary, and (har-har) upgrade the infrastructure. No, I don't believe they are stealing an enormous amount from us.
However, electric companies are almost other monopolies in their regions, so are commonly able to charge anything they want. So, yes, I believe they are "stealing," or more specifically, overcharging in an undeserved, uncompetitive market, but one and only enough that they can bring away with, in need incurring the wrath of the public or the local/state governments.
First, you probably use electric for heat. That accounts for up to 70% of the cost. Use a programmable thermostat and set it to 60 degrees when you are away at work. You can program it to come on 1/2 hour previously you come home. You can turn the heat down at hours of darkness when you are sleeping and turn it up 1/2 hour before you receive up.
