Is it undamaging to enter ridge info into a bankwebsite? on your computer or is in attendance a possibillity of a individual stea
stealing what you have writtenyes I know they are call key loggers but how do Iget rid of them if they do exist and how would i know?
so is it secure or not?
thankyou
Answers: You should never enter bank info into a site that you do not know for sure is legit.
Even if the site looks exactly similar to the site you go to at on-line bank, if it came to you as a intertwine in e-mail, treat it next to vehement suspicion.
The best way to know if the edge website is legit is to go into the sandbank and ask them what their online website is. Then enter it in exactly as they report to you. Sometimes their pamphlets enjoy the website on them.
I personally don't use the online bank mainly because I don't trust it. My ex boyfriend bought a used computer and near his limited he be able to obtain all the information the previous user have even that the previous owner reformatted the hard drive. This included passwords to sites such as credit card websites and bank. Luckily my ex is trustable and got rid of adjectives that information. Some people aren't as trustable.
It is as a rule safe but it also depends on your dune. How do you check for a keylogger on your system - look into your programs folder if someone else uses your computer.
The best advice I've see on verifying whether the site you are on is truly the real site you want to be on is this:
1. Check the address tablet in your browser. Is that the baptize of your bank?
2. Use the 'View-page source' button at the top of your browser. What do you see? If it's your wall, 99 times out of 100 it's gibberish.
3. Always, ALWAYS, look at the 'lock' icon on your browser. Is it locked or not? If not, do not enter your information!
4. Reset your browser to adopt cookies only from unmistaken sites. What it does is rejects a bogus site that is set up to look similar to your banks site because the cookies won't contest and your browser will give you an error message right away that the site is unsafe.
5. Set up your browser to clear all cookies when you close it. There will be no 'vanished over' information when you reuse your browser.
The safest way to dune even if you feel comfortable after doing adjectives this is to either do it from your home phone (not your cell phone for transparent reasons) or go into your guard. It's a good practice to call on your bank periodically anyway, in recent times to make in no doubt you are aware of any changes they hold made to their procedures.
As for wiping your thorny drive clean, unless you use a program that does a DOD wipe of your files - reformatting a knotty drive does not clean it.
