With the cut in federal interest rates, will interest rates go up for fixed deposits placed in banks?

Answers: The interest on fixed deposits may not change immediately but it will be lower later.
NO. Banks pay lower interest rates than prime.. usually 1 percent lower or more.. so bank rates will go down.

If you've forgot your card...?

i know you can get money out from inside the edge without have your card. i've lost mine and need some money desperatly for tonight. Will i want proof that its me and what will they ask?

Answers: I'm a little unsure as to whether they will agree to you withdraw lacking your card.

If they don't ask you for ID such as passport, drivers license etc, there's something wrong!!

Especially seeing as you've lost your card.
I suggest you ring your bank and canel your card hastily and make sure that no-one have made any purchases on it.
photo id, wall statement and proof of address

good luck
You will ONLY want your DL or Goverment ID you don't need anything else they may ask in the order of your card just enlighten them you lost it.

What is 401(k)?

and what does "k" stands for? Don't use wikipedia, please use easy idiom so that i can understand

Answers: The "k" doesn't own a meaning pertaining to the investment. The 401k is merely a symbol in the internal revenue code that allows us to invest within such a way. Meaning the information roughly speaking a 401k is under that subsection in the IRC.

Same situation for a 403b, 457 etc. these are adjectives investment plans that may become available to you depending on you type of job you own. But they are just codes to identify what the investments are contained by the IRC.

Hopefully that helps.
Its from a paragraph surrounded by the U.S. tax code. www.401k.org
