Can I afford a unusual home? How big of a wage?
My wife and I take home nearly $7000 a month. How big of a loan payment can we afford? We owe more or less $10,000 on a truck at 0% interest and have no credit card debt. We owe $130,000 on are existing home that is to say appraised at $145.000. Given the current housing market, near is no way of knowing how much your house would provide for or when and you have a mortgage to do business with. You might be capable of rent out the house as well, but who know? I'd not make any assumptions save for that I had profusely of truck payments and a mortgage (along with insurance and property taxes, etc.) that I have to pay for.
When you try to build your own home, you also hold to decide are you going to try to be your own GC? Not a honourable idea unless you ARE a nonspecific contractor or at least contained by one of the building trades. Will you get a totally custom home or use a company explicitly established and builds on your land? Lots of factor to deal beside. In any case, no concern how you intend to get it done you can count on these three things:
the house will steal longer to construct than anyone says
it will involve some serious hassle
it will cost more than anyone tells you it will
So when you budget, you own to keep those things surrounded by mind.

Also, start an equal payment plan which will be the total amount divided by 12, then start an automatic draft from your checking account. Just make sure you have the money in your account each month.
