The Government have created a portal to help individuals who have need of benefits because of life events. Visit

Use the drop down button
DO YOU NEED BENEFITS BECAUSE OF A LIFE EVENT?
Choose the natural life situation best applicable to you and then see if you qualify for the available political affairs assistance.
Forget grant money - there's just any money for individuals. Go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) and Grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grant. But you'd be hard pressed to find any compromise that would support individuals.
what is check truncation?
Question:Does anyone know what check truncation is?Answers:
yes, it is when your bank stores the similes of the checks, instead of sending the checks back to you. that route, you can get a copy of it next if you need it for proof of grant, but it costs less and uses smaller number storage space for the bank to reclaim the original.

Check truncation technique that the bank stores imagery of the checks that have cleared for a statement cycle. On you statement, adjectives you will see is the date, check number and amount. what happen to your credit card debt when you die? who is responsible for unpaid symmetry?
Question:Answers:
There are several situations which you should be aware of. Number one - if the card was JOINT, consequently naturally, the constraint to pay past its sell-by date will automatically transalte to the joint card holder. Number two - if it is not, after it will fall into the relm of the estate. Typically, ongoing charges, that happen before one pass away, will be paid from the the estate. It is usually manage by the estate trustee of some sort. When the estate is being probated, spot on expense pay outs are allowed including credit card debt (within conceivable amounts, of course), but will be pro-rated fort he final release of funds to the estate beneficiaries. In most instances, at the end of the ordeal, the beneficiaries will most predictable have to concord with amazingly little of it if anything. This is a very nonspecific, crude explanation as these things may get complicated. In deeply of cases, an estate attorney will be involved who will be looking after ALL of that and charging a hefty fee for that...

Bills are passed just as cash/property is.
Your estate so your loved ones enjoy to pay the balance of all of your debts.
it comes out of your estate and if theres not adequate there to cover your bills it falls on your ancestral.
Well, I've often wondered this myself. I'm guessing if you hold an estate, it will pay your debt. If you enjoy a spouse alive, they might be. Good question.
If you own insurance on your credit card it will be taken care of. If not your estate will be responsible. If married your spouse.
your asset if any.(If you don't buy the insurance cover your debt after you articulate bye bye to the world, that insurance is less than 10buck if i'm not wrong).
Your estate is held responsible. After your estate is completely liqidated they will try to upset your children or next of kin but the truth is not a soul else is responsible and once your survivors say that the credit companies will disapear.
Why does the price of postage stamps hold on to increasing?
Question:I just read that sometime this summer they are going to bound to 42 cents but without any sort of explaination.Answers:
email is taking over for snail letters
bills can even be paid online - do you realize how much that have reduced the every day correspondence...
I forgot to put a new 39 cent stamp on a time-sensitive resume - it took the Post Office 12 days to return it to me for the 2 cents!! 12 days!! I took it down to my local post bureau and VERY POLITELY asked them to get it to it's destination like greased lightning after paying the 2 cents. Guess what arrived in my communication box the next time? YEP - my own resume! I was so p*ssed I faxed my resume!
Other Answers:
Too plentiful pay raise, bonuses and golden parachutes for postal employees.
i believe since postage stamps are representing gas prices possibly less taxes have been going within for a while.
I heard they're going to hook up letters carriers beside Escalades by fall 2007.
One sense is email...so many ethnic group can now communicate lacking the postal service...it has put a bit of a hurt on them.
The price rises b/c smaller quantity real post is being sent due to e-mail. So the post organization has to hang on to revenue up somehow.
Your post office have to pay for electric, hose down, gasoline, and other necessaries, same as you do. Have you noticed that the price of these items have gone up?
To cover the rising cost of gas....and other supplies.
Because the postal service is becoming more and more passe.. with internet use on the rise.. the postal service is outlook the pinch.
United Postal service needs more money due to online bill settle and the fact that so much is done online. although they probably cause a lot more money on shipping online merchandise. Could be gas prices or could in recent times be that its the government and they can do it. have an idea that about it. do you know a passageway to send post a different way near USPS stamps. I don't unless you pull the use the return address as the actual address and "forget a stamp"
how far can you deleiver a dispatch for 42 cents....its still the cheapest thing surrounded by the usa
Here's a related question: Despite the rate hikes, why isn't postal service getting much better? I still receive packages that look as if a dog ate them, enjoy to stand in never-ending lines at the post office because they won't hire ample postal clerks, and frequently experience slow delivery. If they lift up the price of postage again, I doubt anything's going to really change much.
one devaluation effect, two rise surrounded by printing and material, three generattion of income for the govt
its going up lately like everything else surrounded by this country. Sad thing is in attendance is no getting around it.
they go up because adjectives governments steal of you as its straightforward after all how else could they hold thier bits on the side
I guess their costs keep increasing plus they are competing next to email, Fedex, UPS, etc.
Also, I'm sure the price of ammunition has gone up so the price of "going postal" is probably high too-lol.
How do you live on a $100.00 (one hundred dollar) budget for a month?
Question:Answers:
Well depends on many expenses you own! I personally would be borrowing similar to crazy. Hitting the local churches for food donations. Taking the city bus or walking place (could never afford gas). And the dollar store is good for essentials (soap/deodorant etc).

I would right to be heard.....live with your parents. There is NO instrument to live on $100 a month.
by just preserve looking at it and not spending !!.
Buy EVERYTHING from the dollar store. Food, clothes, gas, everything... Ha Ha!
1. get rid of your coup¨¦! (insurance, car payments, and GAS put away that $100 right there)
2. don't buy any food without a coupon and be prepared to buy mac n cheese (and return with FAT from a non nutrious diet).
3. don't ever go out for fun, buy anything that isn't a complete necessity for yourself, and definetly not for anyone else.
4. only kill yourself from the boredom presently.
move to a third world country where the average monthly income is $30. you'll be a King/Queen
you live hungry...
There is certainly no way to live on a budget of $100 per month. Unless as you would expect you are living with your parents. It will hold at least $900 per month to be out on your own and i.e. cutting it awfully close.
nobody can live on their own for 25 a week, live near the parents, they should be able to aid pave the way to a better adjectives...or you can stay in my pump shed for 12.50 a week
Lots and lots of home cooked meal. Or, if you're not much for cooking, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, salads and instant noodles.
Just remember to stay away from coffee (especially brought from a store), chocolate, gum, chips, and other snacky foods. They'll burn up your money faster than you'll sense.
Also, don't starve yourself to meet your budget. That's dodgy, and if you get to that point, be in motion find a soup kitchen. Your pride is not worth your health.
Good luck!
Cook your own food, It's cheaper than speedy food.
Get a job.
Don't buy unnessecary things
Ride a bike. (gas is high)
get to a laundry mat to wash clothes. (saves on dampen bill)
turn out the lights.
I have done that. It is no fun but you can. PB&J's, raman noodles, potatoes, pasta are genuine versital foods. chicken breasts and ground beef can streach in masses dishes very okay. Watch for sales on foods that can be made different ways.
No going out to movies, no shopping for fun stuff similar to clothes and shoes. Quit smoking, drink water it is cheep.
It will suck. But if you are good for something just reason of why it is good to live this approach for now.
Clip and use discount coupons. Buy single what is most important. Do not drink out. Make your own clothes. Read how to books to learn to backing you make or repair things at home

From experience
I run an extension cord out to a tent that had sleeping heaps and a tiny fridge and electric burner. Water was surrounded by 2ltr bottles and we had use of shower and toilet inside. We ate like mad of mush for breakfast (boiled cornmeal) flavored with anything we could come up with. Lunch be homemade veggie soup and homemade biscuits. Dinner was hot dogs or spagetti or deeply stretched meatloaf. We lived on 150.00 a month for three people and one on the passageway. 50.00 for electric and bathroom privilges, 100.00 food & diapers.
We did save for that downpayment and it be kind of fun.

3. What meals you do not gain through the homeless shelter can be supplemented with bananas and NAB's. However, respectively day, treat yourself to ONE item from McDonald's dollar menu (or another chain's), preferably the double cheeseburger because that will distribute you the most bang (calories) for your buck.

Why do you lone have $100 a month. I would enunciate get a available job. Even at McDonald's you make more than $100 a month. Is it single one month that you have to this?
Do you hold housing? I mean explain a bit more...
Eat from scratch. buy flour and milk and some eggs and you can gross a lot of stuff near that. Just basics drink hose down (tap water) don't go out, don't drive, help yourself to the bus if you have to. This might be the time to loose some consignment just kid

I owe $105,000 within my mortgage and own $260,000 within my 401k. Should I pilfer money from my 401k to recompense my mortgag
Question:Answers:
In most cases absolutely NOT.
Reason #1
It would be greatly expensive. Money withdrawn from your 401K is instantly taxable at your highest rates rate. For most people that's 28% federal plus your state income taxes. If you are beneath 59 1/2, you'll pay another 10% cost. That's a lot highly developed than the interest rate on your mortgage.
Reason #2 -
If you are still with like employer, you can't just annul the money. You can borrow from some 401K plans, it depends on whether or not your employer allows it, but..... this is a really bad conception too, because in combination to interest, if you leave the employer you MUST money it back quickly or you suffer the same excise and penalties as above.
Reason #3 -
Because your mortgage is at a low rate that should be lower than the rate of return on your investments in your 401K. In other words, the money in your nest egg is likely to grow a great deal faster than the interest you will pay on your mortgage, plus the mortgage interest is duty deductable so it reduces your current income taxes.
Reason #4 -
Time is your best friend on investments because the return on it get to grow exponentially every year. In other words, if your $260K grew 10% this year and every year, you'd have $286K subsequent year and $314K the year after and so on and so on. Each year the dollar amount that gets added to your report grows. (this rough example doesn't include more money you add to the account). If you took $150K out (and you'd really enjoy to drain nearly the entire account to cover the duty and penalty loss), you'd simply have $110K this year moved out to grow. So instead of making $26K this year, you'd only be paid $11K, and each year that deficit would grow larger.
Reason 5 -
Your house is a leverage investment. Really, since you enjoy a mortgage, even though real estate typically rises within value smaller number than stocks, the rate of return on the actual money invested, is really much bigger than you think.
For example, let's read out you have $20K dosh invested (down payment, improvements, and monthly payments) so far and you compensated $170K for your house a year ago. If real estate surrounded by your area rises an average of 5% a year, afterwards your house is worth aproximately $178, 500 now. So..while 5% doesn't nouns like a big return, and it wouldn't be have you paid brass for the house, what you have in truth realized is an $8,500 gain on the $20K you own already invested. That's a real return of of 42.3%! If you pilfer into account what you've save in income taxes, the return is even better.
So..anyway you look at it, paying past its sell-by date your mortgage with your 401K would cost you a ton of money.
Oh..and worst overnight case scenario. You are suddenly unable to work the rest of your life span and all you enjoy is your house and your 401K, should you do it then? Nope. Better to annul the payment for the mortgage as you call for it and leave the rest invested to verbs to grow since over time it is likely to outpace your mortgage interest by a substantial amount AND you leave that money free to group other needs that may crop up.
:)
Other Answers:
there's seriously of variables lacking contained by that question--how old are you? are you going to know how to put the money back within your 401K? what is the rate on your mortgage? what is your 401K earning?
You call for to go pick up a copy of a Suze Orman book, I bet...honourable luck!
No, you will hold tax problems and your 401 is earn on untaxed money and earnings are due deferred. You are usually better paying your mortgage outside of your 401 and using it as a tax assumption. noooo you will get hit next to a big tax on it and not be worth it
If you have the handiness to save 260,000 surrounded by your 401k, then you probably own no problem making the mortgage payments. So definitly DO NOT steal your interest bearing investments from your 401k.
Absolutely not. You should verbs paying your mortgage monthly and contributing to your 401K. If you take out money later you loose money to gain in interest....and you'll lose the excise deduction you win from having a mortgage settlement.Pay stale all depts as soon as possible as you are paying interest, you will earnings tax ,but your house person free and clear you can take out a loan for 25,000 to hold on to you running better than 105 thousand in dept,You WILL PAY import tax at the time you cash within the 401 k so might as well relish it today as many idiots die and administer all near money to uncle sam or the canadian government. I wouldnt. There are usually penalities for paying past its sell-by date your mortgage. I would keep the $260,000 socked away surrounded by the 401 K. Besides, what if you have some sort of emergency? If you use the money very soon, you might regret it. So many variables surrounded by life, I wouldnt coincidence it!
no no no no no!
Source(s):
I did it and really regret it!
NO!
You'll get whacked on the excise and penalties, and THEN lose the export tax break from the mortgage interest. I think financially that would be devastating.

Pay off debt, buy a unmarked car, administer money to friends and relatives, and help poor nation with housing, transportation, etc. We've adjectives been contained by a bind and needed a boost to get rear on track. I'd rather buy a small house and dependable vehicle and help others than squander the money on solely stupid things. I'd donate money to the Salvation Army because they are awesome - they help ancestors - yes, even people contained by the US who are hard working and jump down on hard times.
I would achieve myself a new coup¨¦.
I would make sure my kids and grandkids are taken exactness of.
Finally jump to disney world, put one third away and open a domesticated rodent rescue center.( guinea pigs, hamsters) Deposit the check.
It sounds boring, but I would invest wisely and without risk into government short permanent status bonds (since we have a rising rate invironment) and muni bonds to gain tax free income. They are nontoxic and getting 4-5% tax free (muni bonds only) on $1MM would be accurate income. Then I could live off of that 40-50k a year of charge free money plus as rates rise, I could cash surrounded by my short term bonds for high coupons. The other option would be to buy valid estate to rent out. In my area that would be 6-7 fitting houses with almost $1000 a month within rent (minus tax, ins and up preserve it would be around $650 a month each). That is a good start to an empire. Plus beside the real estate in attendance is appriciation. The bond idea assumes no appriciation but letting them ripened.
