Answers:   "Wheat pennies" be the Lincoln cents minted from 1909 to 1958. They differ from the current pennies because the reverse (back) displays two sprigs of wheat, rather than the Lincoln Memorial building.

Most wheat pennies are immensely common, and market for perhaps 2-5 cents respectively in bulk or roll sized lots on eBay. These faster pennies have a large copper content - in contrast to pennies minted since the impulsive 1980s, which are mostly zinc - and so have some intrinsic metal effectiveness.

There are certain date of wheat pennies which are scarcer and/or more sought after by coin collectors. You can find a guide to valuations of these pennies here:
