I am 19 and planning on moving into my own apartment in 6 months. I will be working full time near an ok amount of pay. I merely need some guidance to calm me down because to be honest, as excited as i am, i'm also for a while owrried financial wise. I be plannng to go it alone but I looked it through and I muse I'm going to have to find a room mate. What would be the cheapest place to receive groceries? Also I need the cheapest saloon insurance for a 19 yr old next to an 07 vehicle. Where can I find a room mate because I all my friends won't be financially? Any warning would be great!! Thank you.
Answers: Okay here's a few tips, and I know what I'm talking almost because I'm 19 and have be out on my own since I was 17.
1. DON'T try and live above your mechanism. If it means sacrifice things like cable, internet, etc. Then do in need it for a few months.
2. Try to save up as much as possible. Crazy things will come up out of nowhere when you lowest expect it.
3. When you're looking for a roommate, make sure you pick someone who you KNOW is finacially responsible and have a good position, and a backup plan in suitcase something happens to their current commission. Don't pick one of your "besties" just raison d`¨ētre you guys think it would be fun to live together. Alot of times, it freshly doesn't work out and can end up hurting your friendship.
4. Buy groceries instead of drinking out. I'm not sure where you live, but contained by my state we have Crest's and groceries are pretty cheap nearby.
5. Try to always salary your bills on time. It get really easy to read out, 'oh i'll just pay envelope this bill next month' but it's alot easier to settle a $75 bill as opposed to a $150 bill.
6. Try and maintain your utilities down. Like instead of always blowing the AC, buy a couple fan. And in winter, buy a space furnace instead of always have the heat running. It make a HUGE difference, trust me.
7. Don't let associates take supremacy of you just create you have your own apartment.
8. Make sure you start buying things for your apartment presently as opposed to buying everything adjectives at once! Start buying things like your toaster, microwave, dish soap, plates, cups, detergents, cleaners, etc. immediately. It doesn't seem similar to much, but when you have to buy adjectives of the little things you need at once, it get expensive.
9. NEVER EVER EVER EVER lease ANYTHING from places like Aaron's furniture or Rent-to-Own places. You're much better sour buying stuff off craigslist or something. I bought my living room set from aaron's and finished up paying $2400 for a set that no one would've bought for more than $700. I be 17 and naive when I bought it, and 133.03 a month might nouns good, but for 18 months!!
that's pretty much adjectives i can think of. pious luck and don't let yourself bring back screwed over!
Depending on where you live, you can find roommates on Craigslist - of late be careful because near can be some weird inhabitants on there. But the best style is to live with family you know.
People recommend that you don't pay more than 25% of your take-home net on rent - so if you make $2000 a month, next you shouldn't pay more than $500 for rent.
Hi, congratulations on your move. As worrisome or nervous as you gain try to tell yourself that you can do this and to help yourself to one day at a time. First, I would place an personal ad in the local weekly, be specific about what and who you want. Male or womanly and diclose what you and the roomate will be spliting, I personally would split rent and do an estimate of lights, and gas and cause it one flat price. Then in the winter months approaching nov-mar let them know the gas will step up $75.00 for those next 4 months rent will be , that much xtra. First and foremost, I would put that you are requesting an BCI check, plan you want Background Criminal Investigation check. Very big, Make them sign and legal document resembling a pre-made lease, for you,..I would go shop at a store that have bulk, for toilet paper, broadsheet towels, botle water etc..you roomate can step half.I would jump on internet for insurance. This is very historic, you must put this in your rental agreement, you must settle on if your housemate has a boyfriend/girlfriend how would you feel it and privacy concerns.I would also make them teem out an application and call adjectives refernces and look at there employment, ring up present job and state your designation and why you are calling I would ask these 2 things. How many times hold they been working here. Have they everbeen caought stealing. something to this effect. I Hope this he;ps just for a moment bit of help. perfect luck well i do suggest that you wold be betterwithout someone there. function being sometimes you may not resembling the person after awhle and their ways they could be slppy and dont' do what you do and wont' abet like 1/2 the time and i.e. what makes it proably worse and if you two are renting its harder to take rid of. i would look for somethign reasonable. i would also look for motor and reasonable settlement. you can find something new more or less 9,000 and that is start. those hondi cars a re cheap and run moral. then you can turn it surrounded by and buy new one again. you own to say and be trhirty i fam nto sure where on earth yo live. if you are in texas at hand is good places to buy food first of adjectives HEB and walmart but the HEB is cheapest one. you can buy and sue couppons and stuff that helps alot. you can find motor insurance if you are in smaller city living instead of big city. it dpeend newly where you are located.
