I rent a room from a friend, and there is no written contract. What are my rights? He and I are arguing and he is threatening to see me out, and sometimes even "call the athorities and own me removed". I have done zilch wrong. He won't leave my room when I share him too... Please help! Where can I look online?
Answers: You are renting from him. You are the renter, You can in reality have him removed from the property as in good health. If he comes into your room you have the right to ask him to will, and even have him arrested for trespass, if he is giving you grief on a personal proof. If you are a girl, you can have him within trouble for stalking.
You do have a month to month lease, whether you hold a paper or not. You own established your residence, and they cannot move you out. But the property owner might be able to force you out, because you are not on the artistic lease.
You have lots of rights on a Roommate that is to say bullying you.
Talk to the police, they will set him straight real hurried.
Don't know what state you are in but if you are paying rent next to no lease then he must hand over you 30 days notice to vacate. Since you are living within paying rent then the police won't do anything.
Sounds close to it's time to move out and find another place. Give him 30 days notice and evacuate.
You have the right to afford your thirty day spy (or sooner if he agrees) and leave. That's it. Conversely he must bequeath you thirty days notice, too.
