At which process of the house sale do I sign the title deeds and verbs the title over to the purchaser? Surely it should be after I have received the funds? as the form Ive be given to sign says Ive already received the funds (which I havent, I havent signed anything however!) very confused hope someone can lend a hand..
Answers: At the closing of the property, you will sign the deeds. When the money for the property is collected and dispersed, you hand the action over to the new owner. A creation is not legal until it is conveyed (given to the buyer) so even if you sign it ahead of time, it is not permissible until it is conveyed.
In any case, do not sign anything that say you have received funds until you receive them.
Get a unadulterated estate lawyer, immediately. It will only cost a few hundred bucks and will be all right worth it for a transaction this large.
