Find a new roommate,you're paying passageway to much to live with him. Pay your rent next to a money order,so that you own a receipt of settlement or go to Wal-Mart and go and get a receipt book and generate him sign the receipt beforehand giving him the money. That way you enjoy some proof for legal matter and then you can bear action...any way he is probably going to see you out...but at least you can find some of your money back. Best of Luck.
