The delicate link is usually the single door into the garage or a sliding chalice door w/o a key lock. The locksmith can install a key alike lock in the sliding cup door if you have one. If the single door does not a devout quality lock beside a deadbolt, replace it before the locksmith is planned and have it rekeyed as economically. What type of hardware is at hand now? Did former times owners invest in feature locksets? If so than have them re-keyed.

If they are freshly your typical Home-Depot type lockset I would change them. Economy locksets simply have a 7-year lifespan anyway. They are VERY smooth to change.

Congrats on the trial house!
Mine were rekeyed no problem. My agent did it as a housewarming contribution he had a friend who be a locksmith.

Are Nashville house prices steady or falling?

Nashville's house prices didn't go style up like lots of other places and family are moving here. I can't tell if prices are falling. Houses are selling contained by normal times contained by my neighborhood most of the time and there aren't lots on the market. The slow selling houses are on the soaring traffic streets. So I don't know what to think. Are house prices falling surrounded by Nashville?

Answers: Realty Times - A highly respected Real Estate Journal - rates the Nashville souk one of the better in the country. While it is still a buyer's souk (like it is everywhere else) the Nashville market is holding values. On a size of 1 - 5 (1 meaning values on the way out and 5 meaning values increasing) they rate Nashville a 2.7 which converts to a slight loss of convenience in 2007 but still better than most of the country.

Hope this help.
It looks like the prices are pretty much in industry standards - not any inflation that I can transmit. And with a nutritious appreciation rate 5%, it looks like a fully clad place to buy. I doubt you will see much of an effect from the current credit crisis (especially as people bail from the notably inflated markets and move to yours).

Average price of a home - $145K.

P.s. I of late compared some statistics for other markets that I know are notably inflated, and the homeinsight website must be run by the industry insiders - cause the website sure aren't reflecting the current collapse of the marketplace in their info. Regardless, it looks like Nashville have been hit much smaller amount by the boom/bust.
