Breaks the lease, how?
Security deposits contained by the States that I am aware of are used to cover damage to the premises.

Read your lease agreement, if that does not address underneath what terms a guarantee deposit is kept, then check next to the States landlord tenant law.
not enough information what did you do to break lease. lease is contract statute and the landlord may own case to evict . How ever his lease must not violate state law in regard to tenant rights.
Contractual addendum to lease often are official and survive a lawsuit and tenants are usually paying what be stated in the lease if its a permissible agreement that doesn't again violate that state law. Read lease near a fine tooth comb and then ring up an attorney to get clarity. He will be capable of ask a few questions to afford you a good answer vigorously. If he cant answer you quickly later he is a bad legal representative find another one they are like a dime a dozen contained by the phone book.
