My apartment?

What does labor charge mean? I own my own apartment and when I came home I found a write down stick to my door sayin I have a labor charge. What does that be going to. Please help.

Answers: My best guess is that a repair be necessary and your innkeeper is charging you for the labor. Check your lease for clauses about responsibility for injury, wear-and-tear, etc.

Is nearby a imperative within Washington, DC adage that you can't hold bar on a ground floor apartment window?

I'm about to move into a ground horizontal apartment (1st floor not in the basement) and come to find out in attendance are no bars on the ground stratum windows. I live contained by NE Washington, DC and my neighborhood is not that bad when it comes to crime, but I really don’t be aware of safe lacking bars on my window being that I’m a 20 something single feminine. I asked the manager and she told me that it's immediately against the law to puts bar on the ground level window in DC. However, some of the other buildings within the same complex hold bars. I ask her why did some of the other building hold them and some did not. She replied that the one’s that have bar had them on nearby for years and years. I’m not really convinced on this. If the management is not going to provide them I am more than prepared to go to home depot and buy some.

Answers: Do you own or rent?
Rent- you don't own the property and don't enjoy a right to make alterations (only rightfully handicap people enjoy a right, by law, to bring in property alterations). If you do start drilling holes in the walls and doors minus written permission, be prepared to own your lease cancelled and be prepared to be sued for property damage.

Own-Either course, condos have rules give or take a few uniformity, so if you purchased this apartment as a Condo without closely reading the rules, you're fairly stuck.

If you aren't happy living within an apartment without bar, I say move.
You can not provide your own for something close to that. You have to bolt them to the building, and I doubt that the apartment would not see that as deface the property.

There could be local fire codes that disallow the bars. The apartment organizer would know, and apparently has already informed you. Even w/o an ordinance preventing bar there is no course you can force them to add them.

If they are major to you then you should hold chosen an apartment with them contained by the first place.

House will cost $59,900 SEV is $56,832 What is the homes worth?

This home is a foreclouser. The taxes are $1,979. The house is in Michigan. My husband think the house value is around $90,000, is this right?

Answers: I am within Michigan also and supposedly the SEV is 1/2 of the market merit, but in today's cutback I wouldnt bet on it. The house value is anything the appraisers and market (buyers) convenience it at.
Forget about the tariff assessment, it means zilch. No one can tell you what the meaning is without an appraisal, and not a soul can do a appraisal without inspecting the prop. So why do you muse anyone would know the market appeal of the prop?
