Is this home considered a rental or a second home?
He basically pays the mortgage on it & pays what could be considered disinterested market convenience on it.
If it is considered a rental, what can I write off to cancel out the 'income' from the rental?

As others have mentioned you should travel to a tax counsellor for a true answer. I will answer on my experience as a landlord.

First, I believe you answered your own ask. You rent the place to him. You clearly state it in your first stripe. It seems that you rent this place to him and he pays the mortgage. I am assuming that you aren't getting anything more than the mortgage pocket money?

For tax purposes you would claim adjectives income from the property (the mortgage payment). You would then draw from to list adjectives the tax salaried on the mortgage for your deductions. There is much more that you can do, such as depreciating the property, but a levy adviser will be capable of tell you if this would work out economically in your situation.

Real Estate Broker made a myth to the commission give or take a few me?

My busines partner and Broker made a false report to the Real Estate Commission in the order of me as an excuse to take over my business and drop my license. I enjoy proof that everything he said was false and the commission agrees. Can I sue him for making a rumour or should I just formulate a complaint to the board.

UM, why not both? I mean he bought upon stress and made false accusation about you!! Am I right! Isn't that set as Defamatory of a person? Esp., that you hold proof!! That works better in any armour. It makes it much easier to prove instead of the he/said, she/said. You should consult an attorney! And I hope that you hold cut all business ties near him. If he did this out of greed, I can't imagine what he would do near your joint accounts!! Good luck!!
