Can you attach on another room inside a house?

If the materials cost only $500, and I'm simply adding another small 7' X 11' bedroom to the interior house, is it permissible? Do I need a building charter?

I'm not obstructing any structure beam or posts, I just want to rent the optional room. More so, why do you need a contract for a little project lower than $500 U.S. dollars?


Answers: You will need planning authority for any additional rooms. Go to your local authority department and ask for the forms. If you build without concurrence when you come to selling the house, you will have problems because the ethnic group will want to see the permission for your second room
Because if you do not pay for the required permit and later in that is a disaster, say a fire, consequently your insurance will investigate, and if they find out, you will be in a world of hurt.

Yes you'd need permit. There will be electrical issues involved, unless the room won't have electricity, which later would be hard to rent out.

Also in that would be foundation issues. Can the floor support the added weight. What in the order of the roof for this room.

Or are you wanting to take a larger room and divide it into two rooms? It's rock-hard to tell from your give somebody the third degree. If you want to divide an existing room, you may still have electrical issues. It doesn't hurt to communicate to your planning department because you may be creating an illegal structure that will bring back you in trouble down the queue.
Each area is different. Where I live you wouldn't but most areas you probably would. Some areas will walk as far to fine you others will require you just to remove it. More than potential nobody will ever know until you try to sell the home.

If I take bad my lease impulsive, does that forfeit my deposit money?

Me, my bf and his friend rented a place that started last April 2007 and the lease is up July 31 2008. rent is 645/month so at the begining we also rewarded an additional 215 /each for deposit. I am looking to move out and want to sooner than july 31. my bf and his friend are probably going to renew the lease and any split it or get a unknown roomie. if i vouch to get bad the lease ,that is after discussion to landlord etc, does that denote i lose my deposit money? i read the lease and did not see anything that said anything about this but my rooomie said when he be thinking about moving out, he talk to her and she said something like that. does the landlords words be paid it true or by law, does it own to be in the lease?? i live within minnesota. i havent talked to her all the same but just want some feedback if she tries to read aloud that if its not true. please help!! if it is true later should i make sure the latest roomie pays me the deposit i paid? im a girl and they are guys. im more cleaner than them.
