Renting Real Estate Questions and Answers

How old do you need to be to get an apartment in virginia?

Answers: I am going to say 18, as this is the legal age to sign contracts etc.. don't know if you can emancipate yourself and do it that way if your under 18
In EVERY STATE, you have to be 18 in order to sign a legal contract unless you are emancipated.

You cannot emancipate yourself at will...you must show that you can FULLY (and CURRENTLY) support yourself financially.

That means you have a full time job, you can make the payments ON EVERYTHING you own, and you don't have to rely on public assistance and you also have a NEED...that your parents are not doing the job.

Apartment admin problems?

I am currently living in a apartment beside a lease that states no pets. However, lately I have be seeing a lot of nation with guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, hamsters, and even ferret. I have asked something like this and they have said that the regulator has made an exception for them because she like those animals. When I asked her (the manager) about a outstandingly small hypoallergenic dog that would be in a crate when I be gone, she said no. She will also not allow any kind of reptiles because she does not close to thos kinds of animals. Rats are also prohibited. I am wondering if this is legal for her to do? Can she pick and choose the animals she wishes to let within even though the lease says no pets? I want to know if here is anything I can do to either form the apartment pet free or make her allow me to enjoy a dog.

Answers: Let me say this as compassionately as I can. You are renting someone else's property. In the animal realm of allowing or not allowing, she can do doesn`t matter what she wants! This is not something to be precise regulated by discrimination law. You cannot MAKE her change the rules to allow you to enjoy a dog. If you want to have a dog, the best point to do is find a place that allows them. If you start making a ruckus over this, she might decide that renewing your lease is not a pious idea.
Yes, the mediator can pick and choose what animals she prefers. The apartment manager should trademark her pet policy clearer, but there is nil you can do to force her to accept a dog. Your lone option is to progress over her head and contact the property owner to clarify the pet policy. Most property owners near no pet policies will not make exceptions, so your negotiator may be violating the owner's wishers.

If you really want a dog (doesn't thing if it's hypoallergenic or in crate), next you need to move to a property that allows dogs. You could also enjoy a doctor provide a note that you stipulation a service animal, but remember service animals are not pets.

Answers: Yes he might but then you would not be capable of submit any of your financial information causing a problem if you already used or needed your information to acquire pre-approved to a certain amount to gain the house you want.
If you can do it just on his financial information it is worth a try.
A first-time homebuyer is DEFINED as "A entity who has NOT have a house IN THEIR NAME in the later 3 years."

Notice I am referring to a Deed and NOT a mortgage.

If your current husband's name is on the creation, then he isn't a first-time buyer. It doesn't concern if the house was mortgaged or not.

You cannot qualify for a first-time buyer program if you do not touch the definition criteria.
