Can you give me some pro's and con's to working in real estate?




Answers: Pros - you make your own hours, you can be "parent" first, you can work as much or as little as you want (and your Broker allows), you have phenomenal income potential, you get great decorating ideas from the homes you show :o)

Cons - you make your own hours (a lot tougher than it sounds), clients/customers call at all hours and some get mad if you don't call back right away, if you don't set up a weekly work schedule you very likely won't make any money (no salary, just commission), because your cell phone is a published number you are an easy target for obscene phone calls (all 3 that I have encountered have ended up in jail, and I am not afraid to press charges). some of the fees and dues are expensive, and you have to stay insured. it can take a few years to become established.
It really would depend on where you are. There are a few good places left to do it (Seattle, Portland Or, Charlotte nc).

Otherwise I'm sure it is very difficult right now unless you are an investor with lots of cash buying up houses in bundles.
I haven't received one obscene phone call! How did you do it, because I have questions! =)

In a nut shell, you are your own business. You work for a company and a principal broker, but you are an independant contractor responsible for everything.

It's 100% commission, so you only get paid when you sell.

You set your own hours, so if you are the type that would have trouble working this way, it probably isn't for you.

Answers: Use social networking sites and point reciprocal links, I myself am developing some real estate websites and do not chew over that they compete with yours so I could provide you near several links from all of my sites, I provide ability links that get see - the trick is not so much generating traffic but to generate targeted traffic so that people become customers, if you have a million company and no sales or 10 company and 2 sales later which is better? I do not have an automated connection directory but select links. Only some of your pages own keywords and descriptions, those that do exist do not seem to hold been customised for the page within an optimal fashion.

Try using the G00GLE or yahoo selling. This will guide prosepective customers to your site. You will only rate a small fee for culture who actually dance to your site. It works for me.

Landlord law and spare information..?

i live in florida myself and my brother own a duplex (i want to try and rent my side out). any information, websites, etc. concerning landlord/tenant laws would be useful but mostly i am trying to find out about.. if i be to relocate and not be in the state what are the best ways to collect the rent and what if i hold to evict somone will i have to fly backbone to florida ?? anyone with experience and warning any thing will be compliant thanks.


Answers: Well you can budge with a Realtor , If they rent the house consequently they will take out more or less 100.00 a month for facility charges. They will collect rent and put in a specific acct. to earnings mortgage paym. Then if the need arises to evict they will lift care of everything. You will hold to ask to make sure you know exactly what they will and want do b/c adjectives Realtors are different.

As far as rent, require the tenant to mail it to you. Remind them that it must be sent surrounded by advance, so it reach you by the due date.

You would either hold to return to FL to evict or hire a local attorney to represent you.
