Check trial apartment for mold?
I'm going to be moving in to a different apartment in a couple weeks and am wondering - how extensively should I check it out until that time moving in? I know more or less the whole walk-thru beside the landlord, but what almost things like mold? I've just seen the place once, and didnt check every nook and cranny for mold, but the freezer be covered in it and the proprietor acted shocked and said he would get it cleaned up - and to be precise was probably from the frig one unplugged for a couple weeks. In one of my last rentals, i didnt look close plenty when checking the place out, and it turned out to be infested with mold and the owner have to cut walls out to remove it all (we moved out after finding adjectives the mold). I have a 19 month hoary daughter and dont want her to be exposed to that. I know all homes enjoy SOME mold, but should i be looking for it? You are making a huge mistake by not getting a fixed rate/30 year loan. When the rates progress up, you'll be stuck with a much highly developed payment.
