Renting Real Estate Questions and Answers

What are credit requirements when renting a house?

When landlord runs my credit, what will he be looking for within my credit report?.

Answers: Make sure you have no uncap collections or delinquency's on your account!
He will be looking for how responsible you are next to money. Do you make your payments on the dot? No big money issues? Basically, he is assessing the risk of having you as a tenant and NOT getting salaried. He will pay close attention to olden places you've lived/rented from, and see if you were unpaid on paying rent before.

Landlords also sometimes ask for reference (past landlords) and will call them if nearby are any bad grades on your credit in nouns with that innkeeper.
He will be seeing if you have skipped out on any bills surrounded by the past, or be late beside your payments.

The "requirements" will be different next to every landlord.
That your SSN is valid, previous addresses/employers, tardy payments, collections, judgments, liquidation & debt to income ratio.

Can running rent out an apartment i'm still paying for?

I just moved into a unsullied apartment, and my old apartment required a 60 daytime notice, (which i be late on) and they want me to turn contained by my keys 28 days past my lease is up to put it on the market. If i turn surrounded by the keys, am i still obligated to rate the next pro-rated rent?

Answers: The outmoded apartment manager can verbs to charge you rent for the duration of your lease. That was the inspired agreement when you signed. However, once he locates another tenant, if (and only if) said tenant occupy the premises BEFORE the agreed upon end of your rental residence stipulated by your lease, you are no longer obligated to pay rent. The LL can't double-dip on the rent.

So contained by short - pay the rent unless you know for a certainty that there is someone living within the old apartment earlier the termination of your lease.
Turn in your key on condition that the lease is canceled when you do so. Otherwise it is your property as long as your lease payments are made.

However, the landlord may agree to call off your lease as soon as another tenant is available.. That may still save you a month's rent
I'd name the Housing Authority and ask, but I believe if they have you surrender the key then you are no longer responsible for the rent.

They can't be renting the apt to you and rent it to someone else at duplicate time.
Ask them.

Once they find a new tenant, you should be sour the hook. But the period previously a new tenant is up to them.

Rental problems?

Answers: You should telephone call the cops. He can't legally come contained by your house like that. Call them in a minute. Under Texas law he have to give you three weeks identify before he can see you out. Why are you still reading this? Call the police and tell them he be in your home. Also contact the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. Ask them what you can do.
