we keep getting bills contained by the mail for HOA, which have been rewarded for what they are asking for, also comming in the previous owners cross. My husband calls and call them, no answer, leaves voice mails. He get a letter stating what the dues are going to clear for each year. Out of the $105,000 dollars they recieved ultimate year, they paid $78,000 to cerical. This cannot be right. It's rediculous. We pay not for our community, but to pay cheque someone who does the clerical crap for our HOA. only $35K go towards our community and nothing get done! I don't understand this, we and adjectives of our neighbors feel ripped rotten, violated financially and powerless to stop them. got any accepted wisdom? And if we don't pay every cent them we procure a lien put on our property. I just don't see how any of this is right!Answers: This is "right" because you signed a contract giving them this power.

However, the contract is legal and binding. Filing adjectives of those liens may well appropriate two clerks, the cost for them is not that bad.
You enjoy to have a 100% agreement near everyone in the association to dissolve it. You agreed to that one too.
BTW, they can do more consequently lien your house, they can foreclose it and evict you if you continue to be a problem.

Also I presume if the association is professionally run, you could get some quotes from other associations on regulation. Maybe if you shop around and get the other owners serious, you can panic them into better behavior.

78k for clerical work sounds like someone is using the HOA for a piggy edge. Insist on reviewing the financial records, receipts and accounts payable at the subsequent HOA board meeting. These are to be friendly and viewable on demand. If they supply you one single ounce of hesitation, here is something fishy going on there.
You can stop them simply by getting involved. Run for organization. Find a CPA in the neighborhood bring back him elected as the treasurer. Announce to your neighbors that it's time for change, and you are going to be their victor.

Well, if your realtor did not permit you know about the HOA's since you moved in or bought the house, afterwards you can go after your realtor for the costs of the HOA. If they did agree to you know about them and you still bought the house next there isn't much that you can do in the order of them. You knew that you would enjoy them when you moved in and you permitted them knowing what they were. Now if you look surrounded by your HOA handbook and it say that they are supposed to maintain your front courtyard, and their supposed to pay for the streets to be plowed and they aren't doing any of that,consequently you can take them to court. I would look hindmost over the HOA handbook and the contract that you signed and create sure that they are meeting the requirements and next go from within.
