Renting Real Estate Questions and Answers

How can you get an apartment if you have a broken lease?

Answers: Do you have a valid reason for breaking your lease?

If you do...

Talk to the apartment managers as soon as you are viewing the apartment. Tell them your situation and why it happened. Honesty is the best measure.

If you don't...

Have you paid what you owe for the broken lease? Can you talk to your previous managers and ask them to give you a good reference if you've paid them in full?

Anyone know good forclosure sites for homes that you dont have to sign up or pay for?

Answers: look at www.ocwen.com
I would ask a Realtor. Realtors can search all bank owned properties in an area that are current. Allot of these sites have outdated information and some of the properties may have even been sold.

Go to: http://www.activerain.com and look for a Realtor in you Area. You will get accurate information from a licenced Realtor.
I usually don't check out links on Answers but thought I'd give ocwen.com a shot since I'm looking for foreclosures and it is legit !

It doesn't appear to get all foreclosures but still not too bad.

Land registration quiz??

i am currently in the middle of purchasing a house within the co limerick area.it is be flipped on from the plans,A lady bought it for 189.000.00 and i am buying it for 215,000 My solicitor is charging us 585.00 for lands registration fees because he say's she didnt pay it. Can anyone contribute me some information on this as i dont think this is right.

Answers: I don't know Irish decree, but I suspect it is similar to the UK. Any time property changes hand it must be registered with the Land Registry and they charge a charge. I don't know how the previous owner avoided this, but it is in your interest to discharge to ensure that you have pious title to the property and the original owner (the one who sold it to the lady) doesn't hold a claim over it.
