Renting Real Estate Questions and Answers

Can a tenant right to be heard this?

So, I am looking for a home to rent and I found a listing that I like. However, the listing stated no smoking, no drinking and no pets. Now, the smoking and pets aspect is necessary. But the drinking? Is this lawful for a innkeeper to request this? Now keep surrounded by mind that this is NOT a room for rent. It is a home in which the renters are the sole inhabitants. I assume this is not something that can be asked.

Answers: explicitly illegal for the rentor to ask or even state contained by any documentation
Is the house near a college or university?

If so, afterwards the landlord should enjoy the right to disclose that request.especially if he has have issues with former tenant being students who knees-up and destroy his property.
They hold the right, as long as it is for any potential rentor.
It can't be used to single out someone who may be deemed as not good enough.
There are plenty who will not state this prohibiton
They can ask whatever they want, but i assume the landlord is purely requesting that the buyers won't be drunken x convicts..
not that theres ne thing wrong next to that.glp.!
It actually go the other way, is drinking a protected right any under federal or state statute, which the statute would bar a personage from denying a person base upon that protected right?
why wouldnt the banning of alcohol be permissible? just approaching pets, alcohol can stain carpets going away smelly messes. the landlord probably doesn't want party in the house. i imagine it really depends on the state you live in, but i believe the manager has the right to ruling out whatever he desires. it's not a matter of equal opportunity or anything.
Doesn't nouns like a honourable idea to emergency a potential tenant to not drink. You're correct about the NS/NP portion. That's legal. The tenant has probably have trouble w/ parties that get out of hand contained by the past, and is a moment ago trying to see that it doesn;t happen again. Anyway, I know that alcohol can be prohibited on public property, but not private. You might to see if there's a "tenant rights" orginization in the phone book. Give 'em telephone call and find out if prohibition is disciminatory or not where you live.

Good luck & cheers
You don't enjoy to rent it. Really, what's the difference between the no smoking and no pets? It's all trial, but the owner would rather not hold any of it, smoking, pets or drinking, in his home. If you don't agree, don't rent it.

Personally, I hold a no alcohol policy in my home also. I drink alcohol occassionally, it's not approaching I don't , but I'd rather not hold it in my house where on earth my toddler lives. To each his own.
Yes they can relate you that there is no drinking. If they can report to you no smoking, why cant they say no drinking? Both make happen long term trash to the body and potentially to a home.

Has anyone used ZipRealty as the buyer's agent? do they really hand over you 20% of their commission?

Is there any "catch" I should be aware of?

Answers: only be aware the normal total commission is 6%, The selling realtor, their bureau, the buying realtor and their office respectively get 1.5%.
I own used them, I got posterior about $1,700 on a $270,000 home. I checked beside other agents and nobody would match it. This be about 4 or 5 years ago contained by So CAL when homes sold as fast as you could put a sign up. No pick up, the real estate agent be great everything went smoothly and vigorously.

EDIT: I think the one and only way it would be forbidden would be if was salaried as a "kick back" . It is spelled out contained by the contract so it isn't hiden.

I think once everthing be settled we got a check rear legs form the escrow company.
Yes it's true, and no it's not illegal. Zip Realty pays their agents smaller amount and most of the business is done via the internet. I've been dealing beside this outfit in West water Village and they state they will give you a % put money on after close, but it should be in escrow if you are to receive anything...up & above board.
