Should I hold a kid?

I'm 31 and have be with the man who is my husband for more or less 14 years :) We are financially strapped (about 10, 000 in debt next to a new house) and I am trying to find a opening to make it work. Our house (our first, pending) is awesome and we love it!

We can create the rent with the facilitate of a tenant (best friend...he gives 500 per month for immediately, but we want to be independent soon...rent + insurance+utilities = about 2000 dollars/month).

I hold a Master's degree (in a bullshit discipline-French-) which does not make a contribution me many opportunity re: jobs. I am trying tricky to find one, even if I can't use my discipline.

Question: Should we start trying? I'm 31! Time is of the essence!


Answers: The fact you are asking this put somebody through the mill on here somehow worries me..
No. In my opinion the thought shouldn't even cross your mind until you hold zero debt and are financially independent and settled down beside some savings. According to stats, the cost of raise a child from birth until 18 years of age is a staggering $220,000! Can you and husband afford to spend roughly $12,000 a year to care for the child? My husband and I are both 34, own good paying job and a mortgage, but will wait at lowest possible 4 years before even have a child. It's a lot of work and responsibility beyond the infant years. Don't forget they grow up to be teenagers, which may or may not be pleasant. Find some work for yourself soon if you both stipulation the second income to start a savings information. Be financially secure back thinking about have a family. If you can't pocket care of yourselves first, you can't run care of another human being!

Anyone know where on earth I can find out how long a property have be programmed 4 mart short asking agent? (Australia)?

I want to know how long a property has be on the market, own asked neighbour who is elderly and pretty vague and r/e agent desires to play games. Also, where can I find out how much a specific property have sold for previously without paying?


Answers: The local council should know that species of thing... Go to the local council chamber of the suburb or town...

Open to adjectives .. landlords please?

i have a comment to adjectives landlords out there.. Why are you slumlords? you embezzle people's rent . they pay prompt,, keep YOUR property verbs, dont abuse it.. treat it as if it be theirs.they paint , redecorate, take terribly good consideration of YOUR property, they pay the rent prompt every month. and slumlords dont want to make the repairs. this is your responsibilty as the property owner, NOT the tenant. They did their part by keepin the property verbs , and decent. WHY wont some landlords do repairs? They thieve their HIGH rent and buy their BIG new expensive cars, and when the tenant call for a repair.. they complain how expensive it cost to fix it.. TERRIBLE.. if you dont want to be a landlord SELL THE PROPERTY


Answers: sounds resembling you have a problem beside your landlord. my dad is a great hotelier, he owns more than 1/2 a dozen properties and take guardianship of all.

but sometimes its not smooth, why are there slumtenants..tenant they move in, they live here for 1-2 years or more, never clean the damn stove, never wipe the fraken corners of the counter tops, permit grease build up over the place, dont fraken pick up trash their guests leave outside, other blastin the damn ac or heat lacking consideration, and never wiping down any surface of apartment ever...if you cant steal care of the property you dont even own cant believe how you'll manage to upkeep your own when you enjoy to do all the work!

My guess would be that at some point, some "slumlords" be good landlords but realize that no matter how capably they tried to keep their property and how much money they pour into it, some tenant just don't supervision, treat the property horribly and cause twist.

My tenants are unacceptable to paint, make alterations or improvements. The competence of most tenant's work is not up to my standards. They end up cause damage to my property instead of shooting up it.

My apartments, the properties and yards are kept contained by top notch condition. The kitchens own new cabinet, countertops, flooring & appliances, the hardwood floors have adjectives been refinished, the bathrooms are adjectives updated, plumbing and electric systems have be updated, replacement windows installed, brand new roof and siding, new porches ...

My giant rents pay the mortgage, insurance, taxes and cover repairs, if needed. Sure within is profit, every month, but that goes towards chief improvements or large repairs, which come out of my pocket.

Hubby and I do drive latest cars - I would not consider either of them big nor expensive. Hubby and I work not easy to pay for those cars at our regular job.

I have never once have a tenant call for a repair and complained something like the cost to fix. I have have tenants make happen damage and NOT tolerate me know.

In fact, the with the sole purpose repair calls that we have in the final year was a toilet that kept running and a ceiling lover pull switch that wouldn't work, both repaired inwardly days and for less than $15.00.

My issue seem to be tenants that do not cart care of my property.

I own had to repair holes contained by walls & ceilings, enjoy hardwood floors refinished, replace linoleum flooring (because someone put holes in it), replace doors (because someone approved to have shooting practice on the doors surrounded by their apartment using a bb gun), scrape layer of grease off walls, replace smaller number than year old countertops because someone approved to use them as a cutting board, repair two bathooms because a tenant clogged the toilet and agree to it overflow all over the floor and flood the bathroom below ... the detail goesby the side of... All tenant caused wrong.
Unfortunately, landlords are protected by the law. Unless anything needs to be repaired is making your apartment uninhabitable and endanger you or your family the hotelier legally does not enjoy to make that repair. Basically, you shouldn't be cracked at your landlord for person a business man. Be mad at yourself for not mortal able to buy a house or variation your situation.

new big fancy cars? I drive a 1980 Mercedes diesel. If you don't approaching move or buy your own place. My tenants are joyous. Maybe that's why I haven't bought a new saloon in a while. I spawn less than $200 a month on my rentals, not including any repairs.
