Will I be approved for a untried home?

my wife and i bring home about 18OO-2200 per month depending on overtime. we can afford a home at roughly speaking 500 a month we pay 420 for rent immediately but could go up to 500. we enjoy no money down. I might be able to scrounge up a thousand.. if that. so my downpayment would be minimal. but i still want to hold on to the monthly price at about 500. i own descent credit. I am only 19 and my wife is 22. i own a newer car contained by my name but it is cosigned by my parent so i haven't have alot of success when applying for credit within department stores or furniture stores, I just wonder beside my income and credit if i could be approved for a home. renting is just throwing money down the drain especially when you enjoy a landlord resembling ours

Answers: This isn't the answer that you want to hear.

It really depends on a variety of factor.

Speak with a sponsor or a mortgage broker. A good mortgage broker would be clued-up about adjectives of the government programs that are available to first time home buyers.

Also, could your parents co-sign on the loan? This would unequivocally help.

Good luck.
No style in hell you're getting approved by a reputable mortgage lender surrounded by the forseeable future. You enjoy no cash reserves and no credit rating to support a favorable judgment by an underwriter. Besides, if you can't get approved for credit cards at a department store, what make you think a mortgage lender surrounded by their right mind is going to approve you?

You're going to scrounge up a thousand to buy a house? Typically, you will want to save 20% of the advantage of the house for a down payment. So unless houses surrounded by your area are going to 20 impressive, try again.

You're young, so you enjoy that going for you. Get yourself a credit card and pay OFF - do not payment it down, but pay the entire be a foil for every month. Do this for at least 2 years.

Start in your favour. Your rent is about 25% of your income. Save as much of that other 75% as you can - resembling your life depends on it. Pay every bill prompt with no exceptions.

If you show a lender you're serious, they will give somebody a lift you seriously.
Go into a lender's office contained by your current situation and they will laugh you out the door.
DannoREA is correct. You'll want to save a wearing clothes amount of money and start building credit. At this stage of the game it's particularly good to enjoy loans on your credit because it starts to build a credit history.

Also, make sure you hold stable work history, and income documentation, such as tax filings.

I'd vote get surrounded by touch with a mortgage broker to own them explain all the nuance of home buying and financing to you, as well as a credit building program

Credit is getting tight right very soon, but there is other a starting point.
