Safe place to live surrounded by Las Vegas?
Me and my boyfriend are moving to Las Vegas in sept and we are looking for an apartment/home to rent... we want a undisruptive place (gated community) we have a in danger of extinction dog and want to make sure he is protected.. our budget is around 1000 a month.. we were looking at henderson but didnt know if near was any place nicer or better any suggestion would be helpful!Answers: Henderson is nice but they hold their share of crime like the rest of the community. Unlike most metropoliton cities, Las Vegas is more of a patchwork community. It is not odd to find section 8 housing ( public ) subsequent door to a 2M per house gated community. At 1000 per month you should be able to find something clad but you might want to look at the Anthom area, Centenial Hill, Queensridge or Summerland nouns. While these places are not crime free, they do have various gated apartement communities or Condo communites that may have owners looking to rent their condos. You will want to be up front going on for your dog. Most communities out here have ban on Pitts, Rotts, Dalmations, Mastifs and Great Danes amoung others. These communites are PUDs but contain several sub-sections that include apartements or have apartments close by by. The only Cities contained by the technical sence are Henderson, North Las Vegas and Las Vegas. The rest is Clark County and it is huge, spread out contained by all directions. If you want to live contained by Henderson and work in Vegas, you will own a lengthly commute to deal beside but this also applies to the others I mentioned above. The traffic out here is becoming horrific. Very few highways to acquire you around, just surface streets. I live within the metro core in clark county around a 5 min drive from the strip and my house goes for 300K. It is a wearing clothes neighborhood with a few spill over crimes from neighboring discouraging neighborhoods. It is just the outlook of the beast. With the housing bazaar what it is and the rapid growth down here, you may find something surrounded by a very nice neighborhood just to find it is a bad neighborhood a year or two next.
You should be more concerned about what the community you chose to live within offers within the way of shelter. Aparement communities that offer warranty guards, espcially at night, would be your safest resort but again, no guarantee. As I stated before, Las Vegas is severely spread out so you will want to consider where you will be working in the past you settle on an area and next start to look at what is available.

$1000 will find you a nice CONDO, not a house, but a nice condo in the Henderson nouns.
You actually want the "Green Valley" nouns of Henderson. The actual Henderson is a dump.

No it's considered foreclosure. It's worse than Bankruptcy. But yes he can do it if he have 2 separate mortgages, he can keep one and permit the other go into foreclosure.
