ok sooo my "friend" which turned into being my roommate done up f*cking me over BIG...we've only lived here 2 months...recently similar to sunday i kicked her out bcause i was the one paying for the $660 rent and she would other come up with a GREAT little excuse as to why she didnt hold rent yet...so unsurprisingly in demand for ME as well as her but mostly ME not gettin evicted i salaried...well in a minute she moved 4 hours away and i still want her to pay me...she owes me around $600 dollars powerfully maybe even more if i looked-for to include ultilites and stuff...but im mostly worried about rent...and EVERYONE that know us knows she f*cked me over...sooooo my interrogate is can i take her to court for my money because honestly i have a feeling thats the only style ill draw from my money back..im 21 living on my own tryin to brand name rent and i would loveeeee to get my money she owes me...so will taking her to i guess small claims court work?? or do u reflect its useless and i should just forget around it cuz it wont work? thanxAnswers: Since you told her to leave your ex roommate isn't responsible for the remainder of the lease. You can move about after her for the rent she never paid while living at hand though. My suggestion would be to find another room mate.
The fact that you illegitimately kicked her out spoiled the chances of small claims working contained by your favor.
Your lucky she didn't call the cops Sunday.
I kinda agree next to mother bear. Most states she could sue you for kicking her out criminally. She could ask the court for her moving cost as well as damages. If you be acting as the landlord (sub landlord) you didnt follow the rules. You enjoy to give her make out. It can be verbal but that can be disputed. It should be contained by writing.
It will be very rock-hard for you to collect money and might be easier for her to get money from you for unlawfully kicking her out without eviction. Once you sue her axiom she owes you money she can say you evicted me illicitly. You cant then claim that you werent a hotelier, because you are suing her for unpaid rent. It might cost you more then its worth.
I would drop it. She might enjoy more damages then you do.
I'm stilled ticked rotten about my out-of-date roommate 18 yrs ago.she kept my half of the deposit too.
Chalk it up to experience..and live contained by a studio so you don't ever have to hold a roommate again.
You actually could finale up paying by the judge awarding her damages because you kicked her out contained by violation of tenant law.
let it shift.
Whats a condo?
im looking for an apartment in calfornia - but am from england what is a condo ? plzAnswers: Condo refers to condominium. It refers to the ownership structure of a multi-unit building. The owners of respectively specific unit share surrounded by the common expenses of the together building (things like parking lots, upstairs hallway areas, exterior maintenance etc). Each owner pays monthly condo fees for these costs.
Each part owner maintains the interior of their own section.
If you are looking to rent (let), it will make no TRUE difference. Your rent would most likely already include the condo fees. If you are looking to buy a condo, discuss beside your real estate agent and legal representative before committing.
Good luck.
A condo is resembling an apartment. In most cases they are bigger and have amentities approaching an attached garage. There are a lot of places surrounded by California that are apartment condo conversions, so be careful. If you hold anymore questions something like California Real Estate, email me.
