I live in CA. I started renting this apartment within January of this year, we've ad moderately a bit of rain and the property mediator had told me that it leak where the AC be but if we put a plastic bag outside it wouldn't start. I said no big deal... We attain our first rain here and it starts to trickle but from the top of the sliding doors leading to the little balcony. I called him and consent to him know.. apparently they had made a "cheap" attempt at fixing that earlier with caulk and arranged to mention it then.. he said they would fix it.. and zilch.. second rain come and it leaked fromt here and the AC even though there be a bag over it.. call him said he would fix it and guess what///nothing..now I found that the wall where on earth all the moisture is coming surrounded by through which is in my the master bedroom astern our bed had MOLD! lots of it.. what steps can I do immediately to get this guy to fix it and not try to do a speedily and cheap fix .. also what's gonan happen are we gonan own to go to a hotel? TY
Answers: Contact a certified mold professional or mold expert to come out and trial the mold to see if it's toxic and take nouns samples and do thermal imaging. This instrument you will have representative prove of what kind of mold it is and how the mold is getting nearby, if the mold is getting there by quirk of the apt. complex they must fix the issue and if they fail to due so you can profile a lawsuit especially if the mold is toxic mold. Also another good piece to do is notify your local dept. of health they will be capable of advise you of your local rights and depending on the situation they will distribute someone out to look at it.
Get the hell out! If you can't do that, then catch the landlord to fix it. After adjectives, that's why people rent. It's cheap and they don't enjoy to fix anything if something breaks.

If you are making roughly $1,000 per month, the most rent you can afford/qualify for is $330.00 per month.
You are going to be hard pressed to find an apartment surrounded by that price range, nevermind one beside utilities included.
Apartments really did me wrong. Who do I turn to?
My deposit was $350. Our lease be for 1 year. Our lease was up 1/31/08, we moved out 5 days formerly so we could start cleaning and get our deposit put money on. On the 1st we gave our 30 daylight notice to vacate and even asked if we would bring our deposit back, the mgr said o ya, in recent times be sure you clean authentic good. My wife and I be expecting our newborn son on 1/29/08, so we paid $50 to hold someone clean the bathroom really upright and my wife spent all light of day the day until that time our lease was up cleaning. capably all that thorny work threw my wife into labor, but before we go to the hospital we went to the leasing bureau to turn keys within and ask to do the walkthru, the grl said we didnt need to do a saunter thru. my wife had our son 3 hrs latter. i got a message in the messages from them today saying we arnt gettin our deposit rear and listed everything that be not clean. the simply thing wrong when we not here our apartment was the closet door be broke, they didnt even list that. what can i do? i know they never go in thAnswers: Since you didn't do a tramp thru of the appt. you are pretty screwed. You could go and ask again for the deposit support, since you did clean up. You could hold them to small claims court if you had pics of the place after you cleaned. In adjectives reality I imagine you won't get it, freshly chalk this one up to experience
Landlords often exaggerate turnover cleaning and final accounting since tenant are often unwilling to dispute the charges. You'll entail to send a Certified Letter to the tenant demanding an itemized list of damages, timesheets, and invoices detailing adjectives the charges they deducted from your deposit.
The big cross-question is whether the unit be as clean as you received it. If the element was not move-in set for the next tenant, afterwards you are liable for cleaning/repair charges.
"well adjectives that hard work threw my wife into labor, but back we went to the hospital we go to the leasing office to turn key in and ask to do the walkthru."
YOu'RE FUNNY...
SMALL CLAIMS :)
Your solely recourse is to first send a certified post, return receipt requested missive disputing the charges and demanding your full security deposit return inside X amount of days.
