I plan on attending ohio state university, the columbus campus, next year for grad schoool. i own been inquiring for a place to live, but no apartments, townhomes, or condos that say that they are pet friendly in actual fact are. i own one staffordshire bull terrier and one pitt bull. i need support finding us a home next year. i discard to move without them. Help me please!Answers: You are not moving afterwards.
Landlords can not get insurance if nearby is a dangerous dog, contained by your case two dicey dogs, on the property.
Pet friendly has it's limitations.
Not many landlords will adopt the breeds that you own due to insurance & liability issues.
Military moving to hawaii...where on earth to live?
My husband is in the Army and we're trying to amount out if we should live in a military community or rent or buy a house. I found some places that are "military communities" and look close to they aren't on post. Am I assuming correctly that these are off post and available to military family? I know he'll be deployed about Jan 2009, and I don't know how contracts work when a spouse get deployed, so I'm a little worried almost buying a house or renting. He's an officer and I've heard that the housing might be sturdy to get something biddable since it's only him and me and we want to go and get at least a 2 bedroom place. Any help out would be much appriciated! Thanks!Answers: If you are looking for a nice house and nice place to live, I would suggest Iroquois Point. Iroquois Point is located in Ewa Beach, When I lived in attendance, it was adjectives a military community, but since then, the city have bought it and now civilians can live in that. But from what I have hear from several people, military empire can still live there, and unsurprisingly, I think the housing is free for military? If your husband is working at Pearl Harbor, contained by Iroquois Point there is a carry that goes to Pearl Harbor throughout the time, which many military embezzle the ferry, it is conceivably 15 or 20 minutes long at the most, but probably way easier than driving, my father used to thieve the ferry to work and consequently he bought a car and drove, so the traffic might not be that desperate? You will just enjoy to ask around about that. If your husband isn't going to be working at Pearl Harbor, here is a bus stop in the community, alot of associates prefer taking the bus other than driving. The nouns, is very nice, in attendance is a park, tennis courts and basketball courts, a yaght club, piers you can go fishing rotten of, there is a small mini mart and probably a restuaruant (used to be a subway, i dunno if it have changed since we left) and I think here is a cafe. There is a beach nearby, we lived one street away from the beach, which to be honest, the shoreline doesn't have the clearest dampen, but it is clear but not as clear as you would see elsewhere on the island, the beach extends especially long so its big and is a nice walk. At the sand you can see Honolulu and Diamond Head and beautiful sunsets. One time I go for a walk at the seaside, and there be a baby trademark laying on shore!! There are interesting things to see nearby. At the pier you can fish, you can see beautiful fish and even huge turtle. You will want to contact the Iroquois Point housing and see if you will be able to live in attendance with the military benefits (the free housing). If not, which i'm sure you can, you can rent a home for anywhere from 1000-2500 dollars a month (this is not exact but it is contained by that range i don't come up with it is any higher than 3000) The houses are nice, you can achieve 2 or 3 or even 4 bedrooms home, or you can live in a townhouse (these are contained by the section call Pu'aloa) All of the housing is nice and are very spacious. and it's a pretty community. I deduce this would be a great option for you, since you can probably draw from a really nice house with you military benefits for free, and also because of the transport ride to Pearl Harbor for your husband!! If you have kids, near is a elementary school contained by the community, but I am not sure if it is still open? I would consider that it is. But anyways, if you are willing to spend money to live, you can rent homes here for a extraordinarily good price, probably the best price you will find on the island for a home of this size. Here is the website to Iroquois Point housing if you want more info: they own floor plans, and rent pricing and everything else you need to know

Good luck!! And ENJOY Hawaii! I miss it so much!! I lived at hand 4 years ago. My father was Navy and we lived contained by Iroquois Point, our house was enormously nice we even had a huge mango tree contained by our front yard, we picked the mangos and my mom would take home mango jam or mango bread! =) Hawaii is undeniably paradise and stunning place. Also I would love to suggest a great place to go once you take there, it is call the Ko'Olina Lagoons, it is located in Kapolei, in attendance are 4 lagoons which are beautiful!! The hose down is perfectly clear and not hugely deep, it is also net off so the big fish do not come contained by, but in the lagoon you will see some small tropical fish. Sometimes you can even see whales and dolphins within the far away waters. But it is a great place to hang out for a afternoon at the beach. Good luck to you both! And I hope I help with the housing info.!
Check out www.ahrn.com. They hold rentals & for sale by owners. Also check out http://www.militarybyowner.com/.
Do you know what your BAH is nonetheless? The only problem near being a military officer is that we move around alot. Do you regard you will be there longer than 3 years?
As far as contracts when soldier get deployed, you still have to honor your rental agreements. You cannot receive out of it if your deployed, unless you are a single soldier. You CAN get out of it if you PCS.
I'm an army wife and we've rented and it's never be a problem. I like it better than living on post and sometimes (depending on where on earth your stationed) you can make $$ on the traffic.
Good luck and have fun within Hawaii--we're moving too (Ft Lee)
